Once a day - who wants to wait a week to find that weight is sneaking back on

Losing weight, by itself - is not a solution to being healthy. Certain types of exercise - when obese - have dangers of body damage. I exercise [with a trainer's advice] purely for loosening and strengthening - not for weight loss.

This applies to me - I went on Keto 2 years for health benefits, not weight loss. Other than walking I have not exercised for 30 years. For various reasons - I started going to the gym- mainly doing weights. Despite continuing to lose weight i I built up my muscles. On the surface - keto helped with this, but maybe not. My…

A calorie for you may not be the same as a calorie for me. If I avoid eating 3500 calories my weight lss will not be the same as yours. Metabolism varies. Avoiding carbs by itself does not cause faster weight loss - it just may make you less hungry so you eat less and don't cheat. I was losing 2lbs a week for a long time…

Is it healthy to completely cut out carbs from my diet? It's neither healthy nor unhealthy - depends how you do it - and might depend on your body makeup. It does require much more effort to tune the food balance, it's not just a jump in and eat less carbs for 2 weeks [that would be a bad experience]. There can be…

Interesting - but I have to make a decision - I'm mostly on Keto to fight off Parkinsons (but also managed to lose 25 years of weight gain- still need to lose 40], and the symptoms declined when on fairly strict Keto, recently they started getting worse again. If I TKD - do I destroy the evil carbs that appear to cause…

I am for the last few weeks, but last year when I was doing 50 carbs daily, I took no sodium and my food sodium intake was low and my gym energy was high

I'm not doing cardio - just weights, cables, machines. But the "got used to carbs" idea makes sense

My trainer - who has had bad experiences with Keto and wishes that I would abandon it - pointed to this Arrhythmia, heart palpitations, ketosis, and low-carb diet – an update https://thorfalk.wordpress.com/2011/11/14/arrhythmia-heart-palpitations-ketosis-and-low-carb-diet-an-update/ I am now wearing one of those long-term…

Thanks for the push BP normal Blood tests in progress [including thyroid] Heart rate irregular - [and the spike that shows - matches the lack of energy, lethargy and dizziness] - probably can be fixed by taking aspirin, but waiting for analisys of a cardiogram- I don't have to cut back on anything yet - gym is still allowed

This works - but hanging on seems cheating. thats' my problem - I fell like I'm up at the front most of the time - and therefore I don't try to catch up

I've upped my sodium to 4000 - but still getting symptoms on and off. Today I was driving to a local mall to get a indoor walk and felt I might collapse. Ended up eating a sugar loaded Cliff energy bar, got in 5k steps but at the expense of 37 carbs.
