  • I thought the same thing- worried about my chest and triceps that I've worked so hard for. But I really did neglect the back of my body - back, hamstrings etc. Since I have been doing NROL4W, I have noticed that my shoulders have more definintion, and I have a nice "triangle" shape" to my back - shoulders narrowing down to…
  • OMG - the belly fat. I never had a muffin top, even when I was heavier. Lost 30 pounds in 2005 when I was 50. I'm up about 15. 7 years later makes a difference! I've always worked out, I run, strength train. Since I started MFP, I've tried to maintain 1200 calories a day. After 2 weeks, i lose less than 1 pound. I get…
  • i've been doing NROL4W for about 5 months - and I'm in stage 5. I have a general question. As I read the book, it said the workouts should last about an hour. Anybody done in an hour. I do each workout only 3 times and not the 4 as suggested, and I certainly don't use all my rest time. Even then, it's almost an hour and 15…
  • Thanks for everyone's input. I can't wait to get started!! No, really. :-)
  • I guess I'm confused about Stage 7. So is it only like 3 different exercises for each day. When I read the instructions, it seemed like you do the first exercise in each workout, then pick 2 of the next four and alternate. I'm almost done with Stage 5.
  • I think you need to eat more "real" food, including a balance of protein and some carbs at every meal. Try Greek yogurt with fruit, or egg whites with a slice of lower calorie bread or steel cut oatmeal with fruit for breakfast. I make 4 servings of oatmeal ahead of time, and reheat the portion with the fruit at work.…

  • I also don't think it's an Old Wives' Tail. When I was 50 (7 years ago, before menopause), I lost 30 pounds on weight watchers. It was slow, but steady. 7 years later and 15 pounds heavier, it is very tough. My body has changed - I never had "muffin top", even at my heaviest. While I was able to lost 1 1/2 to 2 pounds a…
  • Don't ditch it. Just choose wisely. Vitalicious chocolate:happy: muffin tops (100 calories), Kozy Shack Bread Pudding (160 Calories).

  • I am 57 years old. Several years ago, I lost 30 pounds on WW. However, maintenance lasted maybe a year and I have struggled since. I just started MFP on Friday and all the blogging is so encouraging. I'm hoping that since you hit your goal in 2008, that you have maintained. You are AWESOME!
