Thanks everyone for the food scale advice, I got one and am pleased with it thus far.

I know I have a long journey ahead of me, weight loss takes a lot of time and a lot of effort. I know I have at least 2-3 years to shed the weight I want to shed and I know I've accomplished a huge feat just changing my lifestyle and shedding 34 lbs. Thank you so much and good luck on your weight loss journey as well.

*nods* I agree, I allow myself a cheat day every now and then (a little too often with the holiday cookies around haha). Thank you, I think I'm just rather impatient.
-
I know, I've been doing really well this week with the 1800 calories, I just have to keep the momentum going. I also switched my diary around so I eat smaller and more often. Thank you so much for your well wishes and tips.

I got one, just had a lot of unforeseen expenses with the ice/snow/life haha but I finally got one.

I think I'd be more satisfied if I was at the 42lbs, maybe I'm just never satisfied haha. I can't do that, I wish I could but I get really bored with monotony in food (well, everything). I've tried making lists for what I'll make during the week and half of the time I don't end up doing it. I'll try doing some more…

I've had one on my amazon wishlist for awhile I just keep putting off buying one, next week I'll make it my first priority. 1800-1850 is what I'm switching to and thank you, sometimes it feels too slow but I know it's good nonetheless. This is very true and I definitely feel a lot better than I did before so good news all…

gotcha, thanks.
-
Thank you, I'll read up on it and I added it to my amazon wishlist.
-
For future reference, is there one you would recommend?
-
Haha, I know, it was really hard to say no.
-
Thank you, I'm so proud of my progress I just want it to continue!
-
whoops. I put my reply in a weird area, sorry, snuggling with my cat. I agree, I know how easy it can be to underestimate your calories when you truly don't know, I'm sure I definitely engage in it. I definitely will make a food scale a priority next time I get paid.

Congrats on your loss, only 7lbs left is fantastic! You must be so excited. This is very true, I'm reversing years of bad habits and even if it's not as fast as I'd hoped it is still incredible. I wish you luck too.
-
That is extremely sweet of you to offer but I couldn't accept it. I will get one eventually. Thank you so so much though.

I'm planning my menu for tomorrow - eggs, tuna, and nuts. I definitely agree with you there, protein makes you feel really full. I wish I could drown out the "must be goal weight for wedding" haha, it is a consistent little pest but it keeps me going. You too.

That is basically my ultimate goal as well. I have a pretty sedentary existence at the moment so I don't get much physical activity except for my planned exercise times. It is really hard to lose weight this time of year, there are get togethers all the time with so much junk food. We are in the same boat it sounds like.

I need to get a food scale, it's on my list but money is always so tight. I was thinking that myself about the calories I was consuming, I've lowered it and will be eating at around 1800 to see how that goes. Thanks for your help.
-
@skarlet13 - yeah, it makes a big difference.
-
@sjace - Will do. Lowered the calories to 1830, think that should help me get on the right track. Thank you for your response.
-
Good luck to you as well, it sounds like you are doing well! I will step up the water and protein. In the past when I ate more protein I noticed a significant increase in energy and a far easier time losing weight, it's just expensive to eat a lot of protein. The past few weeks I have noticed I have been going over my…

For about 1.5lbs a week it says 1830. I'm tall, 5'9", and have a lot of weight to lose so my numbers are high.

I've wondered this myself, I wear a 38HH. I wore the wrong bra size for years so I'm not really sure what the size difference will be for me at a smaller size (since in the past, when I was smaller, I was wearing the wrong sizes).

I have IBS also and since I've been counting my calories and watching what I've been eating I've been having less bad days. Obviously with IBS it never really goes away but with keeping track of what I'm eating I can also start to see patterns in what seems to trigger my IBS symptoms and what doesn't but as you know, every…

Amazing job!

Aliens. Whoops, too slow. I'm new to this, sorry.

I was curious about this as well, I really enjoy the tennis and boxing.
