If you wanna adjust your macros on MFP, click "Goals" and click "Change Goals" and click "Custom" so you can adjust your own macros. If you feel like you can't stick with this for the rest of your life, I would find a plan you can stick with, because even if you do lose the weight, when you go back to eating "normally",…

I'm Italian, I come from a long line of obesity, I drank too much Triple Cola and Reese Cups as a kid and I never moved. That's the root cause of my childhood obesity!

My friends know that my workout time is part of my non-negotiable things to do each day. They may not totally "get it", but most of them accept that about me b/c I've been doing it so long. Sometimes, if I have advance notice, I schedule the workout at a time where i can still attend the event. Bottom line is that my…

I appreciate your honesty in your post, but I guess by just looking at me you wouldn't know I was once 200lbs and therefore I'm more like you than you know. Please, if you don't want to be judged by size, don't judge anybody else by size. That's a double standard. Feel free to send me a friend request. Just b/c I'm not…

Woo hoo! You're gonna love Block 2!! I'm 2 weeks into block 2 and LOVE it! Great work!! :)
-
1700-2100 cals right here! Sending FR now :)

Doing 2 shakes per day is hardly sustainable. It's not the complete answer. It could be that you need to bump up your cal intake now, especially if you're building muscle.
-
Why? What about the protein? Do you think you can do that for the rest of your life? If the answer is "no", then find a plan that you can stick with for the rest of your life!

What's wrong with a large friend list? My support comes from private messages rather than a generic "like" while scrolling down my News Feed...

New Rock, alternative and, of course, Metallica...

Sounds like a plan! I lost 70lbs over 20 yrs ago and the reason why I don't binge and don't feel deprived is because I don't deprive myself! I don't keep the forbidden foods in the house. But I have an AA mtg I go to every Sunday morning and they have Dunkin Donuts. Most of the time, I pass, but if I want one and they have…

I only do one per day. You want something sustainable for the long term and it's not really a good long term plan to drink 2 shakes per day. Also, like somebody else mentioned, you want to make sure it's a quality shake with lots of nutrients, not just some protein shake. I see people all the time try to meal replace with…

I just went on a rant about these shows on FB not too long ago! I lost my 70lbs over a period of 9 months and have kept it off for over 20 yrs. Sending FR now :)

Lifting increases your metabolism, which is always good for your heart b/c you're less likely to be overweight and tax your heart. It strengthens your bones, which is a concern for women who are getting older, makes you less prone to injury, gives you the ability to run circles around kids half your age! I lift heavy and I…

Tony Horton One on One Yoga is fantastic! Not sure if you can buy that separately, though...

Here's a great site for healthy eating and here's their section on low carb eating: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2007/07/low-carb-recipes.html As for telling your family, I would just be frank with them. The more honest and open you are about it, the more support you will get. My dad was diagnosed about 10 yrs ago w Type 2…

If I could see they are a "real" person. If they only have some pic pulled off the internet, no info on their profile, etc etc then I won't accept unless there's a message. And I'm what y'all consider a "friend collector". Even friend collectors have their limits! lol

As soon as you lose the weight, you find 10,000 other things "wrong" with you! lol
-
Are you trying to lose weight? I'm 57", 135lbs and 41 yrs old and on maintenance at 1770 cals and eat back my exercise cals.
-
I eat 2000 cals and am 41! I love me some food but don't really eat bacon much. Hope I still qualify. Sent you a FR :)

Wow... beef, eggs, oranges (cannot have bkfast without OJ), cheese, bananas, eggplant, chocolate. I guess Shakeology doesn't count, huh? lol
-
Good question. People are not gonna commit to change until the pain of remaining the same is great enough.
-
Call me douchy then. Planning on either Turbo Fire cardio or yoga on Thursday lol

I starting gaining weight in 2nd grade. Extreme insecurity + family problems + emotional eating + parents who didn't say "no" + Triple Cola = me at 192lbs in 8th grade and a BP of 200/120. I've kept my weight off for over 20 yrs now...
-
Why give it up? Are you on a "diet" or do you want to lose weight for GOOD? There's a difference. I have my macros set to 40% carbs, I'm 41 yrs old at 18% body fat and have maintained my weight loss for over 20 years. No need to cut out a food group if you want to KEEP your weight off :)
