Congratulations to her. That's great that she was willing to have a go at sparring, and competed against a higher level just to have a go. I hope she is very proud of herself :)

Relax, breathe, and enjoy the experience. Go over any katas/forms you will need to do. My instructor always tells us that before we are tested for a higher rank, he already believes we have reached that level of competence......the testing is only to prove it to ourselves. Believe in yourself, and good luck.

Too cold here to grow much of anything at the moment, but I'm in the process of weeding, composting and making a couple of new garden beds ready for planting soon for a nice crop of spring vegies.

Congratulations. Sounds like a tough day. Enjoy the seminar!

Kick Boxing. Sparring with a partner is best, but when that's not possible, going to town on a punching bag really burns.

<Lower back. Also have a butterfly on my right sholder with my daughter's name, and a pegasus on my butt.

Good luck on your journey. I'm sure you will find MFP very helpful. Feel free to add me as a friend if you like. (I'm also a Victorian)

I also spend most of my work day walking, but don't add that as calories burnt, I factored it into my daily activity level (set to active), so it's already taken into account. If I take a few days off, I change my activity level in my settings.

BUMP some great info here. Will take a while to digest it all

I recently started using gloves. I find they help with my grip, and my hands don't hurt. Just make sure they are well fitting.

I'm a blue belt in Zen Do Kai. Our belt system is : White, yellow, orange, blue, green, brown, black. My daughter is currently green, so I'm trying to catch up LOL. Can't have an 11yr old out rank me. Hoping to grade to green later in the year.

Only problem with Gym is I'm from a small country town, so options are very limited.

Hi Tiffanie. Just sent you a friend request. I'm not on weight watchers this time, but have been before. Still have my recipies somewhere lol.
-
I don't log it. I feel it is accounted for in my daily activity level. Can't say I've ever worked up enough of a sweat doing housework to think of it as excercise.

I have a Sportline...not sure what model. I found that when i was doing a hard workout it would not read my heart rate at all. All other functions worked on it, just wouldn't read heart rate. I ended up cracking the sh**s with it and got myself a polar FT7. I find it much better, and it works all the time, no matter how…

I believe it means "non scale victory"

Week 1 completed  17 22 14 14 35

I've got the FT7 and love it. I think the FT7 stores more data/workout sessions on it than the FT4, but basically they will both do the same job.
-
You can add me if you like. I'm on a property about 2hrs from Melbourne. Haven't got a pic up yet ( I've been a bit slack), but will put one up soon.

My daughter came to the gym with me when she was younger and would get the boxing gloves on and train with me. Occasionally she would be my "trainer". Now she's 11 and still enjoys excercise. She does karate, and is joining an instructors programme to help with the club's white belts. I don't think excercising with me has…

I was in the same boat when I joined my gym. I'm also very unco, but wanted to give the group fitness thing a try. I went to a few different classes and found which ones I was totally hopless at and which ones I could do without ending up on my butt lol. It's a matter of just trying a few different classes to find the ones…

Almost there...will b 40 in 6 months

I'm new to MFP and would like some supportive friends to help with motivation. Feel free to add me.

I recently got a polar FT7 and love it. I got it from a store on ebay for $90 inc. postage.
