  • Sounds so simple, but so difficult to enact. But I agree. Get in there and get it done. Soon you'll be addicted. :)
  • we could schedule a riot over this, but only about half of the participants would show up on the right day, LOL
  • ah ya, we should all list our locations along with our responses. I'm from New England (CT), but have been living in North Carolina for the past 20 years. Despite living here more than half my life, I still get confused by the local speak. And the 'Tuesday week' stuff....ya, I think it's regional. My husband doesn't say…
  • im a sucker for seared veggies. think this would work just as well in a pannini press?
  • Not sure if British, definitely southern US. Half nine. I'd be like, so you want to meet at 4:50? AM or PM? LOL
  • Anybody use the term 'Tuesday week?' as in, a week from the very next Tuesday? When that one gets thrown around, my brain just melts. LOL
  • lol cranq! it's mind boggling, isn't it? and i still haven't had a coffee yet. :) i find i'm always having to ask my husband for clarification, because we speak on different terms, LOL for me, this wednesday already happened. to him, it's coming up in a few days. this weekend means tomorrow. and because 'this sunday'…
  • I eat 250g of carbs a day. A good low carb swap for chips and salsa is cut up bell pepper strips and use them as your scoop for salsa. I don't know if you can manage bell peppers and salsa on a diet with 20g or less of carbs tho. That's insane. What do you eat? (not being rude, just honestly curious, as most veggies have…
  • I showed my trainer these pics tonight and he was blown away. He's used to training REALLY fit people. Figure competition people, stuff like that. It was super intimidating to take my first step into a group class at his gym a few weeks ago, but I'm so glad I did. He's so astounded, he asked if he could share my pics on…
  • nice job! can't wait to see your updated pics in january!!
  • Thanks so much guys :) I'm still floored. My trainer told me 'stay off the scale', so I have. He also told me to take pics maybe once a month to get progress so I figured what the hey.... Best part about this is, I get to eat from all the food groups so I never feel deprived, and once a week, I can have a 'fun meal', which…
  • Thanks guys :) Mazari- I started at 216 and I'm currently at 211. I'm 5'11" and started in a *tight* size 14. Rockin' size 12 now, comfortably. Which is nuts. Previous weight loss plans had me losing a size every 10 pounds, not every 5 :D Yay for muscle!
  • :) Thank you! And thanks for the leg comment. I noticed it too and was like hey wow! But didn't think anyone else would notice that, LOL Yay! edit to add: finally got the pics resized. if only resizing our bodies only took 5 minutes, LOL
  • That's some interesting feedback. I've got a dr's appt this Friday as a follow up to blood work I had done at my annual physical two months prior (mean ol' cholesterol). I know 2 months isn't a very long time frame for comparison, but if anything interesting comes of the lab work, I'll make a post :)
  • I honestly enjoy eating this way, just as some folks honestly enjoy eating Little Debbie snacks or what have you. What gets old is when people argue over the semantics of what 'clean' is, or what 'processed' is. Truth is, everyone has their own level of what is acceptable, and unless we're buying their groceries, there's…
  • "clean eating" for me is whole foods, the less processed, the better. whether or not there is any science behind if it's better for you or whatever, i don't know, but i do know that once i cut out ingredients that i can't pronounce or recognize as an actual item of food, i started feeling much better, more energy, less…
  • Why'd they give her a giraffe neck? Is that going to be the next 'gotta have it' look after thigh gaps are out of vogue?
  • I'll never understand the uproar over clean eating. First, why does anyone get all up in arms over what some stranger on the internet chooses to put in their mouths? I like eating clean. My definition of clean is fresh veggies and fruits, whole foods, minimally refined. Throw in a dash of grass-fed cows to supply me with…
  • Are you kidding me? You're smokin' hot with your new self. It's very apparent you've lost quite a bit of weight. You look fantastic! Love your style, too! Top pic: tech support dude. Bottom pic: Hot sexy dude who just stepped out of very expensive car and probably smells great, too. LOL
  • That bunny is awesome! He looks so chill, lounging on his back. LMAO! My bunny wouldn't be so accepting. At least I don't think. Now I want to try.... :D If I come back all chewed up and shredded, it's your fault, skull! LOL!
  • I know a lot of folks say there is no science behind eating every few hours as opposed to whenever you're hungry or whatever, but in MY experience, I have not had a single craving or inclining to binge since I started to regulate my eating habits. I eat every three hours for a total of 6 meals a day. I drink 24oz of water…
  • If it's not a meal replacement product, I'd be weary of using it twice a day for such purposes. You'll be seriously shortchanging yourself on much needed nutrients that otherwise would have come from a variety of food sources.
  • You rock! Did you carry a lot of weight in your belly beforehand? Or were you a boobs and butt kind of girl? You look so *normal* and awesome! I can only hope to look this fantastic once the weight comes off. I'll be so happy if I can obtain a normal, nondisfigured appearance once I get into proper shape. I'm opposed to…
  • 5'11 here. I always find it so inspiring to see tall women who have lost lots of weight and end up looking fantastic. Hard to get the 'I'm a 'big' girl' thought out of my thought process. It doesn't have to stay that way. I'm 210'ish right now, the lowest I've seen myself as an adult was 180 and even then, I still had a…
  • Faith, persistence, and food. Lots and lots of food. This is what I spend my Sunday afternoon doing: That's six grilled chicken breast, a pound of ground turkey, 10 servings of brown rice, a dozen hard boiled eggs, green and red chopped cabbage, pumpkin puree, curried catfish, three servings cod, four servings sockeye…
  • Thanks! I wanted to put it out there because I know there are a lot of skeptical people. I was one of them! I feel amazing, so much better, and I can't wait to see the long term effects of eating more and truly nourishing my body. From what I understand, there are added benefits like stronger hair and nails. Ooh la la!
  • I eat 6 meals a day. Greens are considered 'freebies', so if I'm feeling like I'd like a larger meal, I can fortify with a nice big salad. I've found that my little chunks of protein paired with small servings of carbs and fat keep me satiated until right up to the time I need to be warming my next meal. I'm really…
  • I lost about 50# by bicycling. Once you get good at it and can go longer distances, you can REALLY burn through an insane number of calories, all while having fun. I like biking so much, my husband and I got married on our bikes at the starting line of a 100 mile charity ride. THAT'S how fun cycling is. And the best part?…
