oh ya, and my mom, who has been thin her whole life, had big boobs for her frame before she got preggo with my older brother. They got ginormous after the pregnancy and when she dried up after nursing, they shrunk down to an A cup from a C cup pre-pregnancy. She's lucky, though, because having been skinny all her life and…

My boobs start to, geez, it's not like they shrink entirely, but they become less full, around 190#. Considering my goal is 165, I am not really looking forward to hitting goal. LMAO! I have already figured that while I'm too chicken to get the surgery I'm probably going to need to get my stomach looking proper after I hit…

LOL She soaks hers in drugs! That'd make for an interesting workout ;) Hey, how old are the batteries in your HRM? When mine runs low on batteries, it poops out like yours did.
-
ps, what HRM do you use? I have a Polar and a Garmin. Neither of them require the use of gel or licking. My fiance is a furry, furry teddy bear, however, and because he has so much fur between his skin and his HRM, he does use the gel I mentioned in my previous post.
-
They make a gel just for this purpose. I've seen it at stores like Performance Bike. It's the same kind of gel they use on you when you get an ultrasound :)

Holy smokes! You're hot!! Nice job!!

Your scale isn't reading in pounds and ounces. It's reading in pounds, and tenths of a pound ;)

Green smoothies are awesome and SO good for you. If you try one at home and it's gross, has bad consistency, etc, go to a juice bar and get one made by a pro with pro equipment. They aren't supposed to be pasty or disgusting, they are REALLY good and the right combination of stuff and the right kind of blender make ALL the…

LOL I have a huge pizza ad on the side bar. Time to turn the ad blocker back on!

I'm doing the Chalean Extreme strength training program and finding it difficult to stabilize myself in lunge poses. The plastic desk mat sounds like it could work! Thanks!

are you comparing your caloric burn to the burn of those much larger than you? at 6' tall and 200#, im certain to burn at least 500, closer to 600, calories in an hour of working out. The same would not hold true for my 5'5, 125# mom :)

I got two PowerBlocks at BestBuy. $79 a set. Each set contains one dumbbell with weight ranges from 6-24#. You can adjust the dumbbell to the weight of your choosing by placing the pin in the correct slot. I love them. They are along the same idea as the Bowflex SelectTech dial-a-weight dumbbells, but they arent as heavy…

I love this website so much I became a supporting member several months ago. It's a GREAT resource, especially when you get burnt out cooking the same ol same ol day in and day out.

OK, so I got through the article without running to Dunkin Donuts..... and what I see here is they are suggesting to lay off the fats and highly refined sugars, not so much suggesting to eat them separate from one another. I still say, clean protein paired with unprocessed carbs is the way to go :D
-
LOLOLOL I'm trying to read that article, but it's giving me a craving for glazed donuts and booze!

My last post may have come across as condescending. It wasn't intended as such :flowerforyou:

Get a yoga ball to sit on instead of a chair. You might look like the office dope, but you'll be strengthening your core while the rest of the office chubbies sit around getting fatter and weaker ;)

I can't fathom why anyone would want to split their carbs and proteins into different meals. Protein helps you process the carbs more evenly, slowing down the metabolization of the carbs, leaving you with a more even blood sugar. I've actually been instructed to do the exact opposite, and eat protein every single time i…

LOL glad Melanie posted as well. It helps to have backup :D

Chocolate milk. I kid you not. It's the perfect carb:protein ratio, and who wouldn't love a reason to have chocolate milk? Just keep it low fat and in proper portion. No need to down a half gallon o'milk

Oh, I also do high knee lifts when I'm doing the dishes. LOL

Heck ya DVDs can work....the hard part is finding one that inspires you to actually pop it in the DVD player and do it. LOL  Seriously tho, I know a lot of people love 30 Day Shred so I went out and got it. I apparently am not one of the people who loves this video, LMAO! Nor do I love all the other videos I…

I just wanted to come back and update. I had said earlier today that despite having worked out, I felt like a pathetic idiot because it was only half an hour, it was only less than 300 calories. I just couldn't kick those horrible self-hating thoughts to the curb. Then I did what I knew I had to do. I put the DVD back in…

You are not alone. I had just posted a 'self loathing' thread earlier today. I was NOT motivated to work out today. I'm in extreme 'I Hate Erica' mode and I am having a really hard time getting out of it. Rather than cry about it and stuff my face full of MnM's, I suited up in my workout clothes and did the exercise…

You guys rock. Thank you so much for the kind words. Weird how comments from complete strangers can help improve one's quality of life, even if just for the moment. Today's workout was a short one. I'm doing the ChaLEAN Extreme program by the calendar which accompanies the DVD set, so it's ok that today's workout was a…

Cucumbers and dill pickles are not zero-calorie foods.

This is an inaccurate assumption. When we lose weight, we aren't losing clumps of fat cells, per se, so what you are seeing in the toilet is not an oil slick from burned up fat. Here is an explanation of what happens when we lose fat: "Body fat breaks down during a series of complex metabolic processes. When you burn more…

LOL I've had mine out for sheesh, about 8 years and just out of curiosity because of this thread, I checked and yep, I can still get a barbell through there. Granted, it's not a 6 gauge like what I used to wear, but I'm still amazed to see anything going in after all this time!
-
LOL How do I find the motivation to work out? I look in the mirror. :( If you had a body like mine, that'd motivate you plenty! Seriously though, when you say the walking/biking doesn't bother you, do you enjoy either of them? Before I started doing the Chalean Extreme dvds at home, the only exercise I had any motivation…

I'm going to ask a question and I'm going to preface it with this: I'm not trying to be rude. I'm a big girl myself, LOL. My question is, why is the policy considered to be BS? Space on an aircraft is at a minimum. Even fit people feel crammed into the tiny little seats, and God forbid you've got a really long flight to…
