I really love the orange mango smoothie at starbucks, so I do 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder, 1/4 cup milk (or coconut milk1/4 cup orange juice, frozen mango (a piece or two) and frozen banana (1/2 lg banana) and maybe an ice cube or two. It's tasty. I do sort of a 1/2 smoothie, because it's usually a snack.

Depending on what you are doing outside, it could be exercise. I've been working out regularly, but when I pulled out some old holly bushes, hacked to roots out of the ground and dug 3 foot deep holes to plant new hydrangeas, my heartrate was up, I was sweating and I was HURTING the next day. I logged that as gardening…

Mine is open to friends. I have had some offensive comments, but then I can delete the person. I eat relatively healthy, but if I want ice cream I have it. When I go out for Mexican food the sodium is atrocious. We eat out frequently, though not fast food and often local restaurants where most foods are homemade. I drink…

Yup, I use a measuring cup.

If you use the Iphone App, there is a way to look at your deficit for the week. I have days where I am a couple of hundred cals OVER, others where I am UNDER, but I try to make sure the week comes out even. That's just me, but it's working for me right now.

I prefer Fage 2%, I think it tastes less tart. I cook with it some -- using it in place of part of the mayo in a recipe, etc. Last week I used it to replace some of the sour cream in a Beef Stroganoff recipe. I LOVE it with honey and fresh strawberries (or peaches, or raspberries...) I mix it with peanut butter and dip…

This is interesting to me, because I am from the Midwest, too. We had meat and potatoes, for sure, but always with a couple of vegetables. And while veggie ONLY meals were almost unheard of, during the summer our dinner was a garden cornucopia... sliced tomatoes and "fresh pickles" (sliced cucumbers in vinegar, water, a…

I eat small portions of what I want, and try to keep the rest of the day really healthy.

I logged a walk in the Cherokee National forest as Hiking, cross country. Now, cross country means flat terrain, and I was hoofing it up hills with irregular terrain (not TOO steep, we gained 1600 ft in elevation in 2 miles), obviously it was downhill on the way back. I didn't feel like a 30 minute mile was accurate,…

It will vary according to build/muscle mass. I'm 5'4 1/2 and at 175 wore a 12/14 jeans and a lg. shirt. I don't wear my clothes tight, and I'm wider in the hips (pear, for sure). This site might help you more: www.mybodygallery.com/ You can search by weight, height and body shape, and as you click on pictures, see what…

I have 3 dogs, so I rotate the exercise time... they love it, though!

I almost always cook enough to have leftovers the next day, so when I think of it as TWO days of food prep, it's not so bad!

That's why I didn't like peas and lima beans, it was the squishy texture. Now I will eat baby lima beans, only the frozen ones, lightly cooked. I will eat fresh or frozen peas IF they are mixed in something else (like soup or pot pie). Canned lima beans and peas are still gross to me... but I literally cannot think of…

I find it interesting, too. Especially the trend with hiding them for their kids.... I really think if you feed your kids a variety from when they are young, they will eat a variety of foods. They may have a picky stage or two, but overall, they will eat it. Now, I don't have kids, but I am basing that on me and my…

I never had much cellulite until recently (and I was about 15 lbs heavier than I had ever been), I am convinced my thighs will be big one way or another: muscle, or fat (and cellulite), as soon as I started seeing muscle on my thighs, the cellulite diminished dramatically (still there, but a big improvement with just the…

I like the Barilla whole grain (they use a variety of whole grains and legumes) I think the texture is better than whole wheat. My husband and I both feel like it is more filling, which equals feeling full with less calories. We've been eating it for a couple of years, so it's just normal to us. We don't really think of it…

I've decided if I plateau I will get a HRM. However, I track only purposeful exercise, or very strenuous work. So, when my day involves grocery shopping for several hours, cooking, taking the dog out and a workout, only the workout gets logged. Walks get logged if they are for the purpose of weight exercise, not shopping.…

Did any of you go to Kindergarten? I'm asking because that is where I learned "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Maybe you choose to live a life with NO white flour and NO processed sugar, but that does not make it wrong for people to eat these things, frequently or infrequently. Most daycares…

Exactly this! Sometimes I will pick things that can be deconstructed ... as in, today I had a catfish wrap from a local restaurant. So, I logged the catfish, garlic herb wrap, lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce separately. I had cole slaw for a side - it was not creamy coleslaw, but I logged KFC coleslaw, knowing that in all…

And for... WHOEVER decided to totally flame me over a misunderstood statement taken out of the original context, here was my original post in this particular topic. Again, apologies will be accepted at any time. I am a civil and peaceful person, but I do feel that I deserve an apology for that one. Barring an apology, I…

I have chicken livers in the freezer ... free range, local (yada yada yada). My husband loves chicken liver, so I am going to try it again. I haven't eaten it since I was a child, and I didn't like it then. Then again, my Dad didn't like it, so I MIGHT have just imitated his behavior on that one.... I thought I didn't like…

I hit the others regularly, but iron is a challenge, it's usually about 40%. I do take a multivitamin, but I don't log it since I want to see what I get without it. I don't often eat cereal (other than old fashioned oatmeal), but I had a craving for Multi-Grain Cheerios, so I hit my iron goal today.

Fage Greek (I prefer 2%) for a bulk container. This is my go-to yogurt. I cook with it, I eat it regularly, if I don't have it, I'm stressed. In small containers... I love Liberte as a treat (high cal). Liberte just started making Greek yogurt - it's tasty and lower cal. Brown Cow Maple (comes in a large container or…

Guacamole/Avocado instead of mayo. Whole grain mustard. I also make a great tuna salad with SOME mayo, but sweet chili sauce as well, sweet-spicy DELICIOUS. I often use some mayo and some greek yogurt in recipes. Edited to say - you can buy lower-sugar ketchup.

Sometimes I will just do a water rinse IF I'm not as sweaty. I have naturally straight hair, so I wash, condition and air dry.I might dry or straighten my hair once a month or so. I sometimes do a deep conditioning treatment. I use this shampoo:…

I eat. I really feel like if you are hungry, either you aren't eating enough cals, or you aren't using yours wisely. There is a lot of food and not many calories in a nice leafy salad...
