  • Most farmers in the US that sell raw milk are not conventional farms. The milk I buy is from pastured cows, not feedlot cows. You can visit the farm if you like.
  • I buy and drink it. It is delicious and DOES contain beneficial probiotics which pasteurizing eliminates. I will say, the farm that I buy from sends samples to a lab and publishes the results - they have never had harmful bacteria in their product, they use state of the art equipment, etc. While I think it should be our…
  • If you are worried, I'd add a glass of milk or two - liquid, not too filling and GREAT for baby and you!
  • I'm considering an alternate schedule. I don't see a reason to "stack" so many vaccines - plus when the vaccines are tested, they are tested individually, not in combination - so that seems risky to me.
  • April 8, according to an online calculator - my doctor's appointment is Thursday.
  • Well - I just had a positive pregnancy test a few days ago - I was supposed to start my period at 8/2. We have been trying for a year, and I was so burnt out that I took a month off of everything: MFP, trying to conceive, ALL OF IT - before seeking fertility treatment - and lo and behold, I'm pregnant. SO EXCITED!
  • I think the issue is that everyone is picking apart other people's bodies. Do I think she is gorgeous - YES! Do I think it's awesome that there is some variety in the body types of models these days? ABSOLUTELY! But the folks who are picking her apart as chubby need to realize - it's ok if you don't want to look like her -…
  • I do - I just give my best estimate of what portion I ate - so 1/8 of something if I'm using my phone.... if I'm on the computer, maybe .1 - 1/10... you would be surprised at how many calories some bites may be!
  • I had put a bunch of clothes in a rubbermaid container, intending to donate them to Goodwill, and never did. Now I am wearing them. I am really glad I have some of those old clothes now. Put them away, forget about them, and when you lose 10 or 15 lbs, THEN go through the bin. Totally different feeling!
  • Yep. I agree with you on many points. I totally disagree with your presentation. I also think it is very assumptive to assume YOU know how others think and feel.
  • Maybe the people making the comments don't have the same food "morals" as you do. I normally make pretty positive comments, because I don't know where people have come from nutritionally, and they took the time to get on there, log and be honest.. that's just me. It's important to remember that everyone's definition of…
  • I'm a teacher on summer vacation, so right now the clothes issue isn't too bad. Luckily, I had never gotten around to donating that storage container of clothes from college that didn't fit. So I have jeans and Ts that fit. When I go back to work in August, I'm going to have to buy some new clothes, BUT, I'm within about…
  • Peanut butter fudge swirl brownies....just one. No regrets.
  • The Bruster's Ice Cream near us closed, so I now CRAVE their coffee oreo ice cream. I would work out for any amount of time to consume a scoop.
  • So, according to my younger brother, you can order a double cheese burger (the dollar ones) "dressed as a mac." So - it would have all of the Mac condiments. That might replace your Mac Jr.
  • Does anyone else remember when McDonalds used to have Orange Sherbert/Sorbet in the summer? and you could get it swirled with vanilla? Miss that, even if I only imagined it. I took a 6 week trip to Chile 7 or 8 years ago. They all sorts of amazing foods and candies, the Empanadas were AWESOME. BUT, what I really get a…
  • I'm with ya! I also hate when people who disagree with you philosophically follow you around the boards, disagreeing with every word you type.
  • Maybe that is why I feel hungry enough to eat my own shoe now that I've been strength training with a trainer then following it up with a little cardio... but MFP gives much less on the calories burned for strength training/weight training/ect. Hmm. I used to only eat about 1/2 to 2/3 of my workout calories, but I've been…
  • Like to note - freezes well, too! I made a big batch, and froze it in dinner -sized portions. I have some thawing out right now for buffalo chicken quesadillas tonight.
  • Hummus. I like all varieties, but the Tribe 40 spice is DELICIOUS. Eggs if you need protein. Folks already said avocado and greek yogurt.
  • 1410, plus most exercise cals. I average about 1600-1900 a day actually eaten, 1410 NET. I walk at least 1/2 hour a day. I was doing the 30 DS, 3-4 days a week, now I am working with a trainer 2 days, going to a strength training class once. I have started plateau - ing, but after a week or two, I'll drop about 2 lbs…
  • I've never met a kid that didn't like Cheerios - BUT, if you are worried that the plain are "too plain" Multi Grain Cheerios are great. Honey Nut Cheerios used to be a treat when I was a kid. Oatmeal is a good option - if you have to sweeten it up a lot for your kids to eat it, do it! -- Then gradually back the sugar level…
  • Her workouts are great. They do work. She is annoying. No matter how much my muscles burn, the real reason I want to finish the workout is to MAKE HER VOICE STOP. I hate how she calls people buddy, and her voice grates on my ears.... I aim my punches at her in the 30 DS. :blushing:
  • Tell me more about your plateau, please. I am in one, and greatly discouraged... I have been at 167.4 for about 2 weeks. Before that I was at 169.4 for a couple of weeks.
  • Personally, I find that I have hungry and not as hungry days, so I don't force myself to eat every calorie,... but I don't beat myself up if I go over by 200 cals a few days later. On the Iphone app it tracks how many calories UNDER your deficet you are for the week. I always make sure I am under for the week.
  • Water. Some spices. Vitamins. *Edited to add Gum.
  • Take it a little easier on yourself. You won't continue to improve your life if it makes you feel bad. Life HAPPENS. Do your best, exercise a little extra today, drink some water..... and forgive yourself.
  • I am actually doing a 2 for 1 deal with training, so it is a friend and I working out together with a trainer. So, I will do 15 reps of weight training, then do lunges or some other move while my friend lifts weights... then we switch until we have both done 3 reps of each. I think this allows the weight to be higher,…
  • Depends on what you are doing. I just started with a trainer, and I am using 15 lb dumbbells for some things. When I am using a machine, it is more likely to be 25-45 lbs, depending on the muscle group/motion. When doing 3 sets of 15 reps, these weights are arm-shakingly challenging right now.
