I wouldn't log it at all.

fat won't make you fat. Eating in a surplus is what makes people gain weight. My diet is approximately 75% fat. I am losing weight.
-
For why?
-
Why low fat?

Protein does not spike insulin more than carbs. The spike is about the same. However, the glucagon that is also released when protein is consumed counteracts the effects of the insulin. This does not happen with carbohydrates. Excess insulin is a problem because it promotes fat storage, can lead to insulin resistance, and…

Increasing fats has helped me. Finding things you enjoy eating to replace the honey bun or high calorie fast food meal might help, too. For example, rather than ice cream I blend frozen berries with a tbsp heavy cream, a splash of water, and Stevia. You say you don't like vegetables and fruit..but have you tried preparing…

Do you have a medical condition? If no, proceed with your daily sugar consumption. Stay in a deficit. Lose weight. Natural sugar or added sugar (whatever the heck is meant by that) does not matter when looked at alone. It's all sugar.

I have a three year old and two dogs. I don't have a dishwasher. I do some type of cleaning (vacuum, dust, pick up toys, wipe off random handprints, wash dishes) every day. Bathroom stuff and kitchen appliances get cleaned on weekends. Laundry is done whenever needed.

No. I'm constantly forgetting about my coffee and tea. Plus, some leftovers don't re-heat the same in a pan or the oven. I usually have leftovers for lunch. And my heat pad..cant heat that in the oven.

Too much sodium and new exercise routines are both known to cause water retention. Reduce sodium intake, if it is too high. Starting a new exercise program causes your muscles to retain water in order to help with the repair process. This is normal and will even out with time. I wouldn't take a gain during the 4th week,…

Yes. If it goes in my mouth and has calories, I try to log it.
-
Maybe keto flu? Try upping your sodium. Chicken broth helped me get through the beginning when my body was adjusting. Pickles, too.
-
Your muscles began to break down? The ketogenic diet is muscle sparing. Unless you were not getting adequate protein or you were literally starving..theres no way your muscles were breaking down.

It's natural to feel that way. I know I do. It's ok to take time for yourself. You are the caretaker..and to do that you need to take care of yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally. I would say to try to include your kids in your workouts..but that doesn't always prove to be a positive experience. Haha.

+1 Now I don't have to type!

I'm pro keto. I've been eating lchf since October to treat my reactive hypoglycemia (it was either that or medication) and now have steady blood glucose levels.
-
I've gone off and gotten back into ketosis within a couple of days. Cyclical keto.
-
Ketosis is not dangerous. It's also not a diet to be on without doing your homework, imo.
-
Are you accurate with logging? Weighing and measuring your food? Have you had enough water? Are you consuming a lot of sodium? Have you started a new exercise routine?
-
http://ketodietapp.com/Blog/page/KetoDiet-Buddy That will give you an idea of where your macros can be.. I shoot for 5% carb, 72% fat, and 23% protein. The actual amount depends on my calorie consumption.

I've been lchf since October. My diary is open. :)

This is exactly why people on here ask why a person thinks a food is junk. Your friend said she loves bacon..but for some reason she has this misconception that bacon is worse for her than the other things she eats. Now, unless your friend thinks she would start eating bacon and not stop until she's over stuffed..then…
-
Actually..i restrict the s**t out of my diet. 18g of net carbs a day or less. That wasn't my point. Point was..people were asking about the OPs view on junk to better assist the OP. If you cut food you want for no other reason than the junk label..you aren't looking at food correctly and the chance for long term success…

So you're intentionally overestimating and only coming in at 1000 a day? I would do what the nutritionist said. Did they mention how the 1600 was reached? Are you weighing and measuring your food? How often do you eat at restaurants?
-
People ask what someone considers junk food and why.. Because people who are new to this can have the misconception that they have to give up all sorts of things in order to lose weight. Why they think something is junk is very important. If they just think ice cream is junk because it has too much sugar and they are not…

Arguing about opinions... Junk is something worthless or meaningless. In that regard, one could argue that all food that provides energy has worth. It could also be argued that junk is something that has little to no value in the opinion of whoever is using the word. one can say something is junk food because it lacks the…

I held onto my weight while nursing. Look up some weight loss videos (yoga, pilates, 30 day shred) on YouTube and do them whether you're tired or not. Exercising often will help with some of the fatigue..getting used to never sleeping from a new baby will also help. You can even set baby up beside you so you can talk to…

This. Enough said

I'm with wizzybeth, I look at the word diet as the definition was intended: The sum of food consumed. It's what we eat. What I don't get is "I'm going on a diet." Was this person not eating before? No. They are making dietary changes..

Use the myfitnesspal calories and eat back around half of your exercise calories. If you want a cheat meal, you still have the other half to eat or leave alone.
