Success can actually be a pretty common a trigger for 'naughty' behaviors. I don't know about you, but for me 'diets' were always something temporary, and I often felt that once I got to whatever goal, then I could drop all this healthy lifestyle nonsense. Logically I understand that isn't what I'd like to do, but in my…

I've noticed this too. I'm a morning person so I prefer to just get it over with, but when I am forced to work out in the PM I do tend to push myself a bit more. Wonder why that is?

I think people are sometimes afraid to compliment weight loss because the run the risk of insulting your 'previous' self. Like I once had someone say "Wow you look great! You were really - ugggh yeah, you know- BIG before before, but you turned it around!" I don't think he meant to be rude, but I kinda thought Geez I…

Keep logging into MFP! There have been days where I didn't track everything (or didn't track at all), but just popping in to check the message board and my profile kept me focused on my overall goal of living a healthy life. I find that if I stay engaged here, it is hard for me to slip into denial.

Thanks zombie girlie! I'm glad to know that frequency matters because I have a tendency to avoid hard stuff :) I'll push myself to run 3-4 times a week so I can notice improvement and stay motivated. Thanks again for your encouragement!

<snicker> Well done. I can think of all kinds of diagnosis that could shut people up. "I've lost too much weight? Oh yeah, that contagious tapeworm has been really difficult to clear"

Maybe you are out of alignment? Occasionally my chiropractor has to adjust my hips, and that seems to alleviate the popping and 'something isn't quite right' feeling

Haha I was gonna say you are hard core if your doing Zumba with a slipped disc! All I could do with a slipped disc was curse

It's awesome! I think they tend to come out a bit crumbly, but very yummy! I like fruit sodas (i.e. Diet Sunkist or Diet Grape) with white cake mixes. Tried diet root beer once, it was yucky. Coke works well in chocolate cake

That is how I found MFP too! To be honest I like MFP more than WW (free indeed! And the online community seems more active), but it does take a bit more attention to monitor calories, carbs, protein, and fat instead of just points. Feel free to add me as a friend and we can support each other :)

That is AWESOME! Running is challenging for me, but I'm trying to build my endurance like you did. Thanks for the inspiration and enjoy your achievement!

I thought I was the only one who still loves step aerobics :D I have a Kathy Kaehler video (now a DVD) that was filmed in 1992 - the bad hair and spandex are awesome and keep me giggling through the whole thing. I love that I can add/subtract intensity by adding steps or hand weights/ankle weights. Thanks for the netflix…

Yes, yes, yes!! I've had to to re-learn this lesson over and over and over.

I really like the Mio water flavorings. They're a little pricey ($4 here in Utah), but I never thought twice about spending $4 on soda. I figure it's sixes with the money and at least I'm drinking lots of water.

Greek yogurt is a tasty way to get lots of protein - a 6 oz. Chobani has about 14 grams! Quinoa is another great alternative (and vegan) Beans

I'm experiencing a mini-version of what you're going through (fell off the wagon this weekend, I've been tracking in the AM then getting lazy by the PM and overeating). Don't know if it will work for you, but this is what I'm doing to combat my negative mood/lack of motivation: I'm trying to be patient with myself - ANY…

I've been logging it as calesthenics or circuit training, I guess it is kind of the same thing.
