  • Feel free to add me if you'd like. I have quite a bit to lose as well, and I've found that the support of others like me helps a lot. ;) congrats on your first 15 pounds!
  • I've lost the equivelent to a "dolphin's brain" well that doesn't do me any good. I'm going to go with 1 1/2 times my small dog.
  • I just had surgery to repair a torn ACL so the best advice I have is to get in immediately. If your knee doesn't feel fully stable then don't risk it. Slap a knee brace on it and get in to see a specialist immediately. The worst that happens is you pay for a single visit and they tell you it's all in your head. However if…

  • That even though I'm a larger girl, I love to camp and I lived in a tent for a whole year. Apparently people can't wrap their head around the fact that someone who's fat might /like/ the outdoors.
  • Actually, I disagree. My mother used to nag me to go exercise when I was a younger adult. "You should go walking, it'll make you healthy. Did you know that being overweight increases your risk of breast cancer and diabetes! I would hate for you to get those" You know what it did? I didn't go to a doctor for about 8 years.…
  • You had me at "commercial kitchen"
  • I quite agree with you. I just started my journey to being healthier and I guess I've never really thought about this topic. I'm glad it was brought up though, because now that I'm thinking about it I'm starting to realize some of the ways I've been thinking about myself. I also would love to join a group based on this…
