It definitely inspires me to push myself, though I'm nowhere near the level required to take on the courses. I can get maybe 8-10 pull-ups on a good day.

Worked for me. I eat a lot of the same things I used to, just less. At the end of the day, if you reduce your calories, you'll lose weight.

I enjoy fast food every now and again. As long as it fits within your calories, you should be fine. My biggest complaint with fast food is it just doesn't seem to stick with me. I'm hungry again within one to two hours after eating it.

It depends on your mindset. I weigh everyday, but I'm used to seeing the ups and downs and know what to expect. I don't get upset when I gain a couple of pounds over the weekend. But if you get discouraged easily, I would recommend no more than once a week. Also, I trust waist, hip, and neck measurements over weight.

WTG! I used to think I had to have soda with every meal. Quit cold turkey and now usually only drink water or coffee, though I do have the occasional Barqs root beer when eating out.
