Amen! This is the story of the last year of my life! What a fantastic article!

This at my desk and at home, a 20 oz bottle with no straw at the gym. I hate trying to use a straw when I am running, biking and so on.

Weight is universally the same. A pound of fat and a pound of muscle weigh the same...one pound! Muscle is more dense than fat, meaning one pound of muscle takes up less space (or volume) than one pound of fat. Just as rocks are more dense than feathers.

This is what I do and am stronger, but have not "bulked up". It has helped with my weight loss overall, but I am not bigger anywhere, simply more definition due to weight / fat loss. So, I agree with those that say you will not build more muscle on a deficit.

Use quinoa instead of rice...has more protein. Someone mentioned CLIF bars...love them! They are a decent protein source, but a little high in carbs for some people.

Bump. And, I like it sauteed with garlic, olive oil and a little red pepper flake.

I eat donuts regularly and have lost a lot of weight. Difference is, I only have one instead of a half dozen. I agree with whoever said to eat butter and not margarine, other than that, nothing is totally off limits.

Sent to wife: Are we going to church for pancakes?

I get to take my little girl to the Daddy/Daughter Dance!

Sounds fantastic!

You absolutely rock! I started about a year ago as well and you kicked my *kitten*! Time for me to get in gear. Good luck with life...love that you don't call it a journey.

Des Moines, here! Where you at?

Bump. Been trying to decide this myself.

 I had that thought, too!

This thread made my day! I don't have moobs too horribly, but still a little. They have gotten better with weight / fat loss. Right now, I have upper half pecs and lower half moobs, with a dent in the middle. They look weird...so, I keep upping my chest exercise and hope they keep getting better.

Went shopping over the weekend, bought my first dress shirt with measured sizing in over a year. Had to get a 16 1/2...a size I have never worn! This time last year, would have gotten a 19 or even a 20!

Bump for later.

I am celebrating that I got on the scale at the gym this morning at it said "199.8". First time since I was 15 years old (in 1988) that I have weighed less than 200 lbs! Woo hoo!
-
Good job! Your OP totally describes me of late. I had an "SV" today...got on the scale at my gym and it said "199.8"! Seriously, first time since I was 15...in 1988!

This!! My YMCA Membership is only $23/month.

I usually eat a flatout flatbread, 4 oz. of some type of low sodium lunch meat, mustard and fresh or frozen vegetables. Very filling and within your calorie range (depending upon what vegetable and how much). VERY FILLING!

Hmmm...like many others, I hate lunges. They make me feel awkward and uncoordinated. Also, while I love running, I hate treadmills.

Amen!

Agree with peanut butter and nuts. Also, certain fruit. I used to eat a lot of grapes, but they add up fast.
-
BUMP! Thanks for the great info!

I wouldn't say I do it intentionally, but it seems to work out this way. I generally eat only about 60% of my calories during the day and about 40% from 5:00 p.m. onward. I pretty much feel it doesn't matter when you eat your calories, as long as you are under. It has worked that way for me anyway.

BUMP!

Topic: Bodypump Wed 01/02/13 10:36 AM I found some more information on their website and added an exercise to my database. I used 80% of what they said I would burn per minute, to be conservative. So, they say men burn 8.4 calories per minute and I added it at 6.7. I'm going to try it for a month in place of some other…
