  • I count everything I eat. It's good to train yourself to develop good logging habits if your serious about losing. I don't really chew gum myself but I will log a french fry stolen from a companions plate! LOL
  • 43g of fruit sugars in 3 cups of blueberries. Who eats 3 cups of blueberries in a day?! Some people just won't accept COLD HARD FACTS because it doesn't suit them. There are a lot of people on this forum that know an awful lot about nutrition. You can either embrace those who have more knowledge than you and be thankful…
  • Isn't it wonderful when someone who "doesn't like vegetables" tries to argue their point that you can be healthy without eating them.? It is just factually inaccurate. Ask ANY qualified nutritionist! :explode: Also please don't patronise me. I am not your sweetie. Just grow up and eat your greens!
  • Interesting. It's great when someone who clearly knows nutrition comes along and totally blows someones understanding of nutrition out of the water. I've said it once and i'll say it again. You CANNOT be healthy without vegetables.
  • Sorry but I just don't agree with this statement. You cannot rely on multivitamin supplements in place of REAL food. It is not the same, that are not absorbed nearly as easily and efficiently as REAL food. I would love to know what real food you get all your vitamins from if you don't eat any vegetables. I honestly do not…
  • Honestly, I have made Cauliflower crust pizza and it is a total waste of calories. My recipe is here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=517727501604218&set=a.515349698508665.1073741828.515344378509197&type=1&theater I just do not find it at all filling and it is pretty high in fat. I mean would you sit and eat 3/4 cup…
  • How can someone not eat vegetables? Personally I think this only comes from someone who has spent their life eating junk and being bought up on junk. We grew our own veg growing up and ate fresh veg daily. I believe that these habits start from a young age and if you don't get educated at a young age of eating your…
  • Thanks for sharing as I was interested in doing the Whole30 myself. I am GF so I think the transition won't be too hard, I just will struggle with the sugar and missing out on my greek yoghurt. I don't eat any dairy apart from this and butter.
  • ^^^ THIS!. Me and you are two peas in a pod hun. People be too lazzzzzy to cook.
  • I'm talking about supermarket food. Fast food is not food. Anyone who relies on fast food as a valid meal option is just kidding themselves. Who seriously eats a happy meal and it fills them up? It's just sugar and fat. Over the course of a week if you ate fast food for 3 meals for 7 days of course a weekly shop is cheaper!
  • I am doing exactly this. I have plateaued at around 134-138lbs and don;t seem to move from this and haven;t done for 2-3 months. I have been ill which hasn't helped. I am eating my TDEE now for the next 3-4 weeks to try and reset. I was eating 1200-1370 calories and quite frankly I believe my body has gone into starvation…
  • I think it's fine to do this. I usually just look at my calories for the week rather than just individual days. x
  • I don't have any idea why people say that it's expensive to eat a whole foods diet! Even more so that OP is after a vegan diet. Meat is my biggest expense which I buy in bulk from the internet. It is a specialist retailer in the UK who supply free range and grass fed meats to athletes. I've extremely good value and good…
  • Man I look like *kitten*. LOL All that money on a trainer and no muscle definition after 9 months x2 a week plus 2+ times on my own. I need to start lifting heavy.... whatever the heck that means.
  • I'm 5'3 and gone from 170lbs to 134-138 and i just don't seem to have any definition of muscle like these ladies. Would love to know what you all did to get such great shapely losses. :)
  • Thats sounds about right. It takes a while to get your head around what are the best food choices hun, don't be too worried about it. Did you not go for any drinks, don't forget to log your drinking calories. They have a sneaky way of creeping up on you!
  • You seem to be logging fine but I would say you are to reliant of ready prepared/processed food stuff and your meals are not very nutrient dense. Personally I don't know how you can survive on 2 Weetabix for the whole morning? The only cereal worth eating imo are oats in some form or another. Nothing else fills me up…
  • I have been gluten free for around 10 months now. I actually have a pretty strong gluten intolerance which is why I cut it out of my diet. I have had IBS for nearly 15 years. I found it easy to cut out really and after 2 weeks I felt like a different person. I have so much energy and was able to get up in the morning for…
  • High. I used to work in F&B and the carbonara is probably one of the worst things you could have picked in terms of fat and cals. The pasta portion is probably 400 calories, the carbonara sauce is probably 400 calories. Not sure if you put any extra cheese but MFP had parmesan in the database. 15g is 1 tablespoon. Small…
  • Anyone who spends more than 30 minutes in the changing rooms. My pet hate is women I don't know about Men so can't say) who seem to use the changing room facilities and spend longer in there getting showered and faffing about that they do working out! Guys who lift weights who wear light grey/white jogging bottoms and no…
  • Just keep away from the french fries. Nandos is pretty decent for trying to eat well. It;s just spicy chicken init? :)
  • I have no problems with my diet, I eat good quality food, very little alcohol, no caffeine, no sodas, no energy drinks, no coffee, no milk, no wheat, no pre-packaged convenience foods and make everything I eat from scratch. I am not that bothered about the weight per-se. If I stay at 134-138 that would be fine I would just…
  • Is this still going on? Why does OP need people to convince them? Just STFU and eat it if you want it.
  • i didn;t post this to cause trouble I cannot be held responsible for people arguing their point so aggressively with each other! I was simply looking for peoples opinions on both diets, not just which is best. I am of the belief that we should eat a whole food diet with grass fed/organic meats/eggs, organic vegetables,…
  • I hate stevia. Honestly, Just have the sugar. Raw cane if possible (Demerara/brown something like this) My view is it is far more unrefined than Stevia anyway. No sugar is good for you but seriously, if your calories are that reliant on a few tsp of sugar tipping you over in the day then make other changes to incorporate…
  • Honestly, I had exactly the same thing. Turns out I was wearing the wrong size shoes even though I was absolutely convinced of my shoe size all my life and my feet were not cramped in any other shoes. If you have the facility near you go to a running shop where they offer free gait analysis, I would 100% recommend this.
  • Sweet baby Jesus! O_O That is a knock out result. If I can get half of that I will be over the moon! Can I ask what sort of calories you were eating during 30DS? x
