  • There are 422 calories in a cup of sushi rice. Who eats 6+ cups of rice when eating Sushi?! :-/ I'd be interested to know how many pieces everyone eats when they go and eat Sushi? Maybe it's the quantity? At the most i'll eat 5 rolls (like California rolls) and some Sashimi.
  • I haven't eaten wheat or gluten since August 2012 and it has changed my life. I actually have a severe intolerance to it. I had terrible IBS, GERD and numerous other health issues all of which have resolved themselves after avoiding this evil grain! Good luck, there is no way any baked goods come close to how good I feel…
  • What the heck are you all eating when you go for Sushi in order to be worried about the calories? Just stay away from any tempura rolls and sauces. I can't understand why anyone would need to ask this question to be honest. I seriously cannot grasp the idea that someone can eat 3000-5000 calories of sushi? How much of the…
  • Some people don't drink coffee - me for example so to say it is boring is harsh. I LOVE herbal tea and drink about 4 cups a day. Also Herbal infusions aren't designed to have sugars in them. It's just people chose to sweeten them in order to get their sugar fix. Personally I think drinking lattes is disgusting and the…
  • Tell me about it.
  • I don't but food from Startbucks apart from their fruit cup and herbal teas. Everything in Starbucks seems to have an inordinate amount of calories for what it is. :-/
  • Greek yoghurt, 1/2 Quest Bar, Bananas, Almonds, Cashews, Macadamia Nuts, Dark Chocolate, Vega One Smoothies.
  • ^^^ This. I have digital scales that are on my work surface and I weight everything. I don't understand how you can say it's a chore, it takes a second to throw something on the scale before I put it in my recipe. You can't have been weighing food for long as it's clearly not a habit for you. Now it is just a given for me…
  • Bobs Red Mill Traditional Rolled Oats. It is the only 'cereal' I buy. Most other type of cereals are pretty cr*ppy imo.
  • ^^^This! I remember reading a post on here before about a woman who said the very same and her oatmeal was like 500 calories?! Turns out it was the sheer quantity of oatmeal sh was eating that was the problem. Personally I think you need to look at your portion control. I eat oats almost every day and use 1/2 cup of oats…
  • Can we all please get a real understanding of the word BINGE? Just to clarify: 1. A binge involves being completely, unbearably, and almost unconsciously out of control. The eating really isn't about the food. It's a mechanical action that is simply a result of some pure and overwhelming internal pain and struggle. Some…
  • Egg white omelets are revolting. Throw a yolk or two in there for god's sake! You might not think it's ridiculous but as someone who not only eats for fuel but pleasure, I want what calories I do consume in the day to taste the best they possibly can. With that in mind I only eat clean.

  • Hate to break it to you but there is no miracle pill solution. You just have to eat clean and sweat. Sorry hun, but don't waste your money.
  • I am stunned that people would even call this crap cheese, let alone put it in a sandwich. Shouldn't even be classed as a foodstuff, it has no nutritious values whatsoever. IMO this type of cheese generally adds nothing to the overall taste of the sandwich so it a pointless ingredient if you ask me. If you must eat cheese…
  • We need cholesterol to live. It has a bad rap and isn't this big scary thing we have all been led to believe. Unless your cholesterol is already high then you have no need to worry about eating eggs. Also, eat the white and the yolk, I absolutely cannot stand the idea of people just eating egg whites and wasting 50% of the…

  • I have no idea what these ingredients are from but personally I wouldn't eat it. Too many ingredients, Sounds like it would be fatty and contains additives like Maltodextrin.
  • I love lots of healthy foods thankfully: Greek Yoghurt Mango Coconut Oil/Butter/fresh Raspberries Cashew Nuts Pistachio Nuts Olives Cornichons Herbal Tea (Silver Needle White Tea) Mushrooms Spinach Mmmmmm!
  • O ordered the Kindle version but i actually hate reading books on my iPad so am going to order the paperback. They only have it as used on Amazon UK at the moment for some reason so that will have to do I guess. It's a pretty expensive book TBH but if it works, it's worth it!
  • Seriously incredible. :-O
  • I feel so much better now. I was thinking the food must be pretty cheap in the US if you all can spend what you do on groceries. Just out of curiosity, I'd love to know how much the essentials are if anyone could help me out. Would be great for comparison. :)
  • I don't think I feel this way about any foods. The trouble is with me is I get really into eating something and almost kill off any desire to eat it again from overdoing it. My problem was always the portion control.
  • I'm almost disgusted with how much I spend based on the above answers. :-/ I spend on average £120-£200 every 7-10 days for 2 Adults which is $181-$303. I buy all my meat in bulk from a special supplier who caters for Athletes. I only eat Grass Fed Beef & Lamb and we only eat Free Range Chicken and Outdoor Raised Pork. We…
  • Honestly, you need to buy Quinoa 365 Cookbook. It has a phenomenal collection of recipes incorporating this super seed. Soooooo many great recipes. I was thinking about going Paleo before but I just believe there is too much good stuff that foods like Quinoa can offer us and it is most of all cheap! :)
  • I only eat Fage Greek yoghurt and NEVER 0%. Wither Full fat or 2%. I adore it with fresh mango or just a touch of raw honey.
  • I drink anything from 80oz-140oz a day .... EVERY DAY and I only count plain water in my intake.
  • I have had IBS for 15 years. The single best thing I ever done was to give up wheat and gluten. It has been 10 months and I have never felt better. I do not suffer from those complaints you mention at all now. Check out the book Wheat Belly. :) Also you need to be drinking a gallon of water a day. You can become bloated…
  • I don't have kids so not worried at all. Myself and hubby do not exchange eggs. :)
