Sometimes I go way too long without eating because I cannot decide what I want to eat. Then when the hunger gets numbing I will finally muster up energy to have a snack before I make a meal. Usually the snack will be something that's incredibly easy, like apples and almond butter, or a piece of fruit I simply have to grab…

As someone who grew up on soy milk, I used to love it. But it really pales in comparison to almond milk. If you can get FRESH soy milk, it is amazing, but the kind you buy at the store is pretty lacking. Rice milk is plain old not good. Silk makes the best almond milk. I like the "Original" almond milk, it is about 2/3rds…

i would just focus on getting as many fruits and vegetables into your system as possible. legumes too. they're all quite high in fiber. also add "fiber" as one of your tabs you track on MFP. but seriously, you don't need a supplement as long as you're consuming lots of plant-based food. :) i track my fiber consumption, and…

water, water, water, and more water. occasionally i add lemon, lime, cucumber. i also drink a whole lotta unsweetened tea. iced coffee with almond milk, and no added sugar or sweetener. no alcohol, no sports drinks, and no juice.

it's mostly genetic. you either have a big booty or you don't. i can tell you from personal experience, that my butt only gets proportionately bigger as i get thinner, when i was 60lbs lighter, i had a sweet *kitten* booty. :) to give you an idea, i have lost 20 lbs in the past two months, and 5 inches from my abdomen.…

toyota yaris. i love it, it's tiny but five seats, and gas milage is pretty good!

i eat 1800-1900 cal/day on days i don't exercise. when i do exercise, i try to eat back at least half of my exercise calories. i'm 26, female, and 232 lbs. i set my goal on MFP to "lose 1lb/week," which is pretty much exactly the same as my BMR. i try to never eat under my BMR. it works, i've been losing an average of over…

well considering most of my diet is fruit, vegetables, and legumes, i pretty much eat carbs all damn day! i'm not a carbophobe, but i do generally stay away from any bleached or refined carbs like white pasta/white rice/white sugar etc.

i was a sugar JUNKIE for real. soda everyday, and i always craved sweet things. basically what it has come down to is i've replaced added sugar in my diet with natural sugar. if you crave something sweet have an apple, pear, berries etc. keep only whole intact fruit around, and don't give in to your cravings. it really…

in short measurements of time are socially constructed, and consequentially somewhat biologically arbitrary. my mom will wait until midnight to eat sometimes, so that she can count those calories as another day. however for me, the cut-off for a day is when i sleep. so everything i do before i sleep, i consider to be a…

i always weigh in with a tank top and underwear only :)

my great grandma (who means well) always says, "eat more! you can eat as much watermelon as you want. watermelon doesn't have any calories." haha, if only. similarly i've heard many folks insist that fruit and vegetables have no calories (i'm a vegetarian, so obviously this isn't true. i got fat off a plant-based diet,…

avocados, nuts, seeds, and olives are my favorite nutrient dense snacks! i also like alter eco's blackout dark chocolate. it is only 1 gram of carbs, and .5 grams of sugar per square. i find 4 squares is the perfect serving size (although they recommend 10!)

I'm a vegetarian, and have been since I was born (raised by vegetarian parents). Any vegans/vegetarians are free to add me, I'm always interested in swapping recipes and getting/giving new ideas. :) I don't eat eggs, but I do eat some cheese, yogurt, and occasional butter. Otherwise eat lots and lots of vegan food,…

our four year old sleeps with us and has since she was born. she has her own bed, and she's expressed no interest in sleeping in it overnight. i slept with my mom until i was seven. i made the decision on my own that i was ready for more privacy and moved into my own room. i'm sure she will do the same when she's ready. a…

i just finished nursing my daughter a few months shy of her 4th birthday. my mother nursed me until i was 3.5. breastfeeding is a personal act between a mother and a child and it is their mutual decision when they should stop. it is beautiful and special and i honestly cannot understand how anyone would find feeding and…

i've actually heard the opposite. you are less likely to over eat spicy foods.

also, i had forgotten about this until now but i was chastised by an older woman once because i held the door open for a man. i don't think i was able to contain the laughter.

my partner is 6'3" and 250 with the shoulders and arms of a professional linebacker. i still feel i'm just as capable if not more so when it comes to lifting/hauling, and i am DEFINITELY more capable when it comes to flexibility and endurance. i love being strong, and i love being able to do what i want, when i want --no…

add other vegetarians with open diaries (you can add me if you like :) i like to follow some tried and true food blogs, they always inspire me to try new things. also there are groups on MFP for folks like us: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/219-mfp-vegetarians…

i personally have been loving dragon bowls recently (as pictured in my avatar). there's no one recipe for a dragon bowl, so you can really customize it as you see fit. the basic idea is to pick your favorite healthy grain, i personally like quinoa, but you can use brown/red rice, bulgur, buckwheat soba noodles etc. pick…

I have a list of things I want to buy myself, some of them might be along the way, but I guess this is a working list of motivators :) A VITAMIX, a food processor, and a dehydrator. Clothes, and lots of them (obviously) --especially a few pairs of premium denim :) Teeth whitening. Also, by the time I reach my goal, I want…
