  • So far I have just dealt with it but my runs are going from 35-45 minutes to 50-70 minutes. I was thinking gum too.
  • Hands down for me it's Jillian Michaels Body Revolution, but that's a whole system and plan. My second choice would be JM's 30DS and it's inexpensive. I also have a Zumba DVD packet, but I'm not a fan at all.
  • There's always a beginning. Other people in the class were once beginners too whether just beginning or needed to lose weight. Keep going and soon you will be the motivation for the newbie. At least you are going!!!
  • Sending you a friend request. We have similar stats.
  • That is amazing! YOU are amazing! I had to go look at your before and afters a few times. I swore it wasn't the same person, but I guess in a way it isn't. Way to go!
  • In the mornings I do my jmbr and in the evenings I run. I usually run about 4 days a week (just finished c25k on to train for 10k then half) and then go on a hike or 2 (there is a hike near me that goes up 1000 ft in 1.1 miles. ouch!) to mix it up. So total 6 jmbr, 3-4 runs, and 1-2 hikes.
  • I don't drink and eat, but if I'm hungover, watch out. Foodfest!
  • I started March 24th, prior to that it wasn't low calorie. It was basically maintenance. I'm never one to starve. One of the things I've considered is have I given it enough time.
  • So I have a question. If one is following the formulas for several weeks (I even bought BFM and a food scale to ensure that I am being as accurate as possible) and not losing weight, what would the next step be? To look at macros? I was thinking perhaps I'm too high in the carb and too low in the protein. Edited to say…
  • I am obviously not a pro otherwise I wouldn't be trying to lose weight. From my experience I lost 37# with exercise and eating healthy (portion control, no proccessed foods, upping my intake of proteins and fresh veg) not counting calories. I started MFP and using these formulas and I struggle to lose any weight at all. I…
  • I love love love hiking, but I don't have the time or the gas to drive 25 miles or so daily to do it. Second favorite is running. I can walk out my front door and run away or drive a few miles away to do it on a trail at the local park.
  • So inspiring! You give me something to looke forward to. I'm also 5'7" with a SW of 235. I'm stuck at 194 right now but doing my JMBR. You look amazing! That shows what hard work and dedication get!
  • I honestly haven't even thought about it. Right now I just want to make it through phase 2. I think I might do something like Insanity though.
  • I'm am at the end of my c25k. Best advice I can say is just do it! For me, I could barely run a block maybe two when I started. It was torture. My lungs hurt. My legs hurt. I swore I couldn't do this. The strength and stamina came amazingly fast! I just got back from doing 3.5 miles. I'm hooked (and mind you, I was a couch…
  • For me the scale hasn't been moving much or maybe just not as much as I'd like, but I bought new running shorts last week and they were almost too snug. I had to keep pulling them up during my run last night. Love it! I love seeing everyone's success!! Let's go!
  • Well I was hoping that I wouldn't need to get a HRM since I got the BFM but looks like there's one more thing. I'm happy to hear that they are giving a higher calorie count in correlation with the JM website and they were designed by her and her team. Hopefully the higher number's right. yeah?! ;)
  • The crab move still kills me. I can't even do one. My arms lock into a cramp, but I keep butt on the ground and try to do like pushups with my tri's not using tummy muscles to lift up. I am getting stronger. So happy to hear the crab is paying off for you. Gives me hope. lol
  • I love to be back at it. Getting ready to do my Tuesday workout. Good job everyone!
  • So I just wanted to share with you all that after 5 weeks of only being able to do 2 push ups maybe 3, I can do 10. Suddenly too. It's crazy how I just kept pushing doing the 2 - 3 that I could and then going to my knees and then yesterday I just kept going. I know 10 isn't a lot to many, but this is my nsv. :)
  • I don't think they are that much harder. If there were no phase one and I started cold on phase two.... ugh... that would have been ugly. But after doing phase one, phase two is just the progression.
  • 2/3 cup greek yogurt 2/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk 1 banana strawberries (usually about 7ish) a few ice cubes I want to do some with spinach but my blender's wimpy.
  • I also use Almond Breeze unsweetened almond milk. 2/3 cup is 26 calories. Then I throw in a few ice cubes too.
  • I highly suggest a c25k app. I could barely run a block when I started. Now I can run for 7 minutes. I pushed it further once because I wasn't out of breath but paid for it with extremely sore legs for about 4 days afterward. Following a c25k not only builds up endurance with your breathing but also goes slow enough to…
  • After reading this post, I decided to look at my BMI. Quite franky BMI means nothing to me, but it is a form of measurement. My highest BMI was 37.1 I started JMBR at 35.9 Currently 31.3 Not too shabby. :) Other NSV with JMBR. My legs are getting those nice muscles that I haven't seen in a decade. My booty has lifted and…
  • Now obviously I'm no pro or I wouldn't have a weight loss ticker, but I think that enjoying a meal without counting calories will happen one day without worry or weight gain IF maintaining a healthy caloric intake is followed the majority of the time. The 80:20 rule. Eat healthy 80% of the time so that you can enjoy the…
  • Give them to a local charity that does raffles-the school's PTA, a charity race? Or melt some down for my kids to dip strawberries in.
  • Well I am in week 5 but only did it Monday this week due to super sore calves and I didn't want to risk injury (also doing c25k, first 5k April 21st.) I don't know how much I've lost since starting JMBR because in the beginning it was about starting and staying rather than watching the scale, but I can say that I've lost 8…
  • Yeah... Love her workouts, but the food plan.... meh. I looked at it once and never looked again.
  • Mine should be delivered tomorrow. I am so so so excited!
