  • 50 lbs in 6 months is just under 2 pounds a week which is a realistic goal if you don't kick yourself in the *kitten* if you don't hit the mark which in all likelihood you won't every week. I wouldn't do the shakeology thing, but that's just me and my preference. Maybe just a protein or meal replacer shake might do the…
  • Prodigy-Breath. Love it on a good run.
  • Made this tonight. 1/2 Boca veggie crumbles diced zucchini chopped/diced mushrooms frozen asparagus spray sesame seed oil Threw it in a pan and cooked covered stirring frequently for about 10 minutes. Topped with a little Mrs. Dash. Veggie amounts vary depending on what you like. I used about 1/2 cup of each. According to…
  • I cut out flavored creamer. I drink a lot of coffee, and when I started tracking calories, I realized that I was drinking about 500 or more calories a day in creamer. I still have sf flavors once in a while (like this week holiday sf peppermint mocha) but I don't make a habit of it.
  • I finished JMBR once and was going to move on to heavy lifting, but my husband gets a huge fail in preparing the garage to be my lifting area (was supposed to be my b-day present.) I was running, but it's getting to cold, so I thought I'd go through JMBR again. It's a great program. I did w1d1 yesterday for the first time…
  • Well I am not going to update stats because right now I am just working on keeping moving, but I wanted to come see how everyone is doing. Looks pretty quiet. I hope everyone is staying on track or can get back on track. That is what I am hoping to do. Since my disappearance, I am apparently going through a divorce. Sad…
  • I just started NROL4W three weeks ago after completing Jillian Michael's Body Revolution. I love it! I have upped protein. In the book they suggest 1g per pound. I do a protein shake after each workout which is also suggested. Also this is a link where you can get log sheets. It also has a spreadsheet when you can enter…
  • The first time I went through it I used 3's, 5's, and 8's. Now on my second time through I am using 5's, 8's, and 15's. I am only using JMBR as a "warm up" before doing a lifting program (yes I'm insane). I wish I had used heavier weights the first time around. I think my results would have been better.
  • What's worse slow progress or no progress? What are you going to tell yourself in the mirror a year from now if you quit? Analyze what you are doing and find the problem or quit, It's that simple.
  • Yes you need help and I am by no means one to turn to. I do have a few thoughts based on what I have done. *I do almond and soy when possible but haven't cut out all dairy. Nonfat Greek yogurt is a great substitute for Mayo and the like. I use it to make ranch and many dishes that call for mayo. It's also a great source of…
  • How long have you been going? When I first started getting serious about the exercise portion, I went up 2.5 lbs and stayed for 2.5 weeks. I was so sad.
  • My husband is one of them. I feel like he just wants me to stay home all the time now. He gets upset if I want to go anywhere. Also he hasn't refused per say but keeps forgetting to help me get my garage gym set up which he knows is super important to me. I resent him for all of it.
  • My problem is being on the cusp of tall/average. I'm 5'7" but have long legs. Most average length pants are too short. I love pajama pants, but struggle to get a pair long enough. When trying on pants, I don't grab different sizes. I grab same size but one average and one tall.
  • I did the c25k. When I first started, I had so much weight on, and I was so out of shape. It was hard. I would get pain in my legs after a 90 sec run that wasn't shin splints or any injury. My body needed time to build up to the run. Not only do you grow muscle but stronger tendon, ligaments, and the point on the bone to…
  • I ate and ate and ate. I knew I was gaining weight but thought it wasn't that bad. It was only when I started watching shows like the Biggest Loser and such where there were other ladies my height and my weight that I had to face that it was that bad.
  • Add me. Trying to lose and just started lifting two weeks ago. I'm in the process of learning trying to get high protein so I win some days and lose other but learning. I run too, so I need more carbs on run days, or I don't have the energy to pick up my feet. I have an open diary if your my friend.
  • As a runner, I have frequently heard that not only taking walking breaks but just a walk rather than run is great for you. Walk to the beat of your own drum, and who cares what others have to say. :D
  • I can't do it. I can't take all the impact on my knees. I have done the 12 discs from JMBR, I run, and I lift heavy, but I can't do Insanity without serious leg pain.
  • If posting a pic wasn't such a PITA, I'd do it. Maybe later.
  • I finally lost .5 lbs. NSV=Getting out of maintenance mode and boom, weight loss. I think I'm getting this weight loss thing down. Goal for next week is just to stay on track. 20.5 lbs to go by Christmas.
  • I did boil them. The only thing on here that I didn't do was-I didn't put salsa on the bottom of the pan just olive oil spay, salsa seemed like a waste. I also didn't put cilantro or scallions on top.
  • I just made the ticker. Entered a Seahawks logo I have saved as a photo and there you go. ;) Go Hawks!
  • You are going to get a ton of advice on here but only you know your whole situation. Calories in calories out blah blah blah. I can eat the same amount in calories but a higher content of carbs and maintain. Same amount of calories but change my macros to less carbs (NOT no carbs) more protein and viola. I drop the #'s. I…
  • I made this for dinner tonight, and it was a hit. One of the hardest things I have run into is that I love savory foods. I don't have a sweet tooth really, but I love a hot savory dish. After eating this, I was so full. It was a filling meal that we all loved.…
  • Doesn't it drive you crazy when you tell people that you lift and they think you want to be like Arnold and are going to grow an adam's apple?! I bought a Monster Muscle and the cashier asked me if I was trying to bulk up. Went with my sister when she signed up at a local gym, told the "personal trainer" that I wanted to…
  • Well today not so good. Not so bad either. My gf's and I get together about once a month for coffee, so I indulged in flavored coffee creamer and lots of it. You know loaded with sugar and fat. I almost brought almond milk and stevia with me but really this is only once a month. Everything else was good and I'm getting…
  • That sounds really good. I bet I could do that one on the weekend for the whole family.
  • Yes! Great idea! Food for many of us is the main battle. I tend to not eat enough when I don't log. I will skip meals and snacks. Food is scary after being overweight. And let me tell you, I earned every pound I had on me at my biggest. I have my go-tos: 1/2 cup egg whites handful or so of spinach Couple table spoons fresh…
  • So today I've been kicking *kitten* and taking name just like I did in the beginning. Food all good, weighed, and logged. Workout done. And the best part, tomorrow I get to do it all over again. The great part is soon my booty and all other parts of me will be getting smaller and firmed. Here's to losing weight and getting…
  • Great attitude!
