That's awesome! Way to go! I just hit 1400.

I just hit 1400 today! There was a brief time that I didn't log because I was in maintenance and I didn't feel like logging, but for the most part, I do log my food every day.

I'm at 890 as of today. :-)

That's awesome!! Great job! I am at 890 :-)

For marinastanton and others who have asked how I lost the weight, here is a brief overview of what I did. :-) My exercise plan evolved as I lost weight and got in better shape. But my philosophy stayed the same. I ate back most or all of my exercise calories, didn't cut out foods that I loved, just ate them less often and…

Dienade, My maintenance calories are set at 1780 to stay where I am at 129 pounds. I will probably stick with MFP for awhile until I get used to eating 1780. I will stop weighing in for a month or so and see where I am, then eventually I will probably stop logging on MFP for a month or so and again, reevaluate where I am…

Thanks! It is totally true, if I can do it, you all can too!

Thank you all!

ASPhantom, When I was really losing weight, my calories were set at 1200. I was good about sticking to that. I did eat back my exercise calories and I exercised hard (45-60 minutes) 5-6 days a week. I used a lot of workout videos that I borrowed from the library and lots of On Demand videos from exercise TV. I didn't…

Thanks! I fixed them. :-)

I absolutely do! I wanted this diet to be a life change that I would stick with for the rest of my life. So, I allow myself to eat chocolate or some other desert when I want as long as I stay under my calorie allotment and once a week, I allow myself a "free day." I generally only use it every couple weeks and I almost…

Thanks all! I am excited about maintaining and toning my abs! And perhaps dropping a little bit more so I can say hi to the 120s. :-)

I started at the end of November of last year and reached my goal of losing 50 pounds a few weeks ago. I am now maintaining (more or less. I gained a few pounds on vacation the past two weeks--though I lost a body fat percent and an inch off my waist and an inch off my hips-- so I will get back to where I was and the. Try…

Great, great story! You started at a lower weight than I did, but your story sounds a lot like mine! I basically eat what I want as well, just have learned to eat more in moderation and not eat certain foods quite so often. :-) Congrats! You did a great job and look FANTASTIC!!

Thanks all! Your comments are so encouraging!

Thanks to everyone! Moonlight17 No real secret. :-) I worked out intensely 5-6 days a week doing a variety of exercise videos that did mostly circuit training (high intensity cardio combined with strength training). I tracked how many calories I burned with my Goreman Forerunner (but any heart monitor works!), weighed my…

Great work so far! Welcome to MFP. :-) It is a very supportive community! If you ever need anything, feel free to message me!

Aw, thanks all!

I have an Omrom body fat analyzer (which is supposedly fairly accurate) and it has me at about 20% body fat and the calculator had me at 23.5%

Thank you all so much for your sweet replies!! I definitely feel great. For those who have expressed interest in my "regimen," I can't say I really had one. I just watched what I ate and exercised hard. Tools that I have found invaluable in my journey aside from MFP of course have been: my Garmin Forerunner which I used to…

Why thanks!

Thanks!

Good luck! Feel free to friend me if you'd like some encouragement!! I know exactly how hard it is and yet how rewarding! Make sure you aren't too strict with yourself! Stay faithful every day, but allow yourself a day a week as a "freebie" when you don't worry about whether or not you go over. Don't completely cut out…

Don't mind you asking at all! I am 5'6" and have a medium frame. So, if I go much lower I start looking anorexic. 135 is a good goal to start with and you can decide as you get closer if that is where you really want to be or if you want to adjust. It really is about how you feel and how healthy you are. And that looks so…

I just reached my goal of 135 with a body fat percentage of 19.8. I will probably try to drop a few more pounds so that I have some wiggle room, but I am pretty happy where I am!
