Are you lifting? If you are losing inches, I don't see the problem

:noway: That's bull.. if she is in the fitness/acceptable range of body fat, eats well and lifts, she will see amazing results. Maybe I am just not understanding your post but there are countless people on here (including myself) who have seen amazing change and reduction of body fat in 12 weeks or less.

Lift heavy - low rep, slight deficit works magic. Your weight may change slightly or stay the same but you will have a smaller, tighter body. It would be awesome if you shared your stats (age, weight, height and approx amt of cals per day)

Thank you. +1

I am doing intermittent fasting atm (or atleast something like it) and it's working great for me. Growing up, it was engrained that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and had to be eaten first thing. I have never been hungry when I wake up, not until 3-4 hours after. When I started on MFP last year, I used to…

I love it. Feed your kids crap and it's not child abuse or neglect. "Cleanse" them and it's perfectly OK. What a world we live in

There is always a catch. You should have a plan for what you will do when the freebie is over.
-
And BTW, if you are itching to be active on your off day, don't do any lunges or curls or whatever... Cross train. Go for a walk, go swimming (I'm all over that right now), cycling, etc.
-
Yeah forget weight... I lost "3" lbs according to my scale, 7 according to MFP in 70+ days... I have been doing 5x5 and have lost 13.5" and 10% in body fat. My weight has stayed the same for the most part but I've lost 17lbs in body fat. I'll happily stay between 178-180lbs if it means having less body fat!!

Depends on your plan... I mean I do 30 minutes minimum for lifting and 20 for cardio plus I walk a lot. You should always factor in time spent waiting for machines, equipment too.. So 1.5 seems like no problem. Do what makes your body happy

Hmm.. I do abs anyways on days where I'm working my upper body and I always do them after my cardio is complete. I lift too and don't think it will hurt to add in core exercises at the end... Its important to work all your muscles not just abs or vice versa. There is no way to spot reduce but keep doing what you are doing…

And I'm sick of people making threads saying they want to get toned then become all pissy because someone is giving them the answer that they either don't want to hear or doesn't give them instant gratification. Unless you are on an actual "bulk", it is wise to start training one's mind to change the thought pattern that…

I like YMCA better... big gym, lots of equipment and variety. It's also cheaper on my wallet too and there's no need to sign a contract :)

When you get in better shape it becomes better... That and you need good carbs in your diet. How many grams do you get in a day?
-
Nope cause that show is bogus as f***... Like I said earlier.. She looked fit and absolutely stunning in her 160s.
-
Eat more... You are not eating enough for someone of your stats.
-
Wider toed shoes and socks

I think people need to stop focusing on a number and more on their personal accomplishments.. The way people view that needs a major overhaul
-
I would join but I made more progress doing heavy barbell squats and core exercises..
-
You can always buy dumbbells, kettlebells for now if that makes things easier
-
But you are asking for advice.. You claim to have flabby arms or whatever you said in your first post. Those who are commenting know what they are talking about so far. Your words should be corrected... The longer you say you want to tone, the more likely you will continue to have flabby body parts. Change the way you…

Calorie deficit, low rep high weight and you are on the path to fat loss....
-
Yes. Worth the time investment. Don't expect to look like JM if your body fat percentage is 25% or higher.. You will definitely gain strength, lose inches with this.
-
She looked so good when she was in the 160s... That show sucks.

I only go to the gym to do heavy lifting, swimming and participate in sports. 30DS will get boring after two rounds and the weather is going to get nicer shortly for your jogging. I would look for a cheaper gym, one where a variety of activities is available and start lifting weights... I pay $22 a month for the YMCA and…

Quotes link from CNN... must be legit. Anyway, I got fat when I was pregnant with my kids. Had no problem with food or my relationship to food before that. I was active during both pregnancies. **** happens...
