Hi I'm new to the group. On Day 3 here. Not following the containers, Shakeology or meal plan in general. Just looking for some variety in my workouts. I am excited to see the overall results and hope to see all of yours!

It's a wonderful program!

30DS but you already have it

I'm on Day 26 now.. but I have done more than one level a day at once since Day 20. Definitely notice a difference I think. Might give it a second round. Just wondering if anyone has done all three levels at once and if they noticed faster results?
-
I decided to do 30DS again since it usually delivers some results. On day 20, I did all levels 3 times and levels 2 & 3 together today. Here are my results so far. I've lost 7lbs in 20 days or so (went from 191lbs to 184lbs). Not taking any measurements or scale numbers until next week. Day 26 is today

Do some heavy lifting, 30 Day Shred and eat well. You may or may not reach your goal in 40 days but that is probably the closest you will get. Make sure to make your current goal something that will become a habit long term so you won't find yourself in a rut next time

Eating out doesn't have to be stressful. If you are concerned, just opt for steamed items.. Substitute refined products like white bread, rice for brown or rye.
-
No it is not bad if you do. I usually try to go with something light though.

In for later :)

I don't find the Easter chocolates appealing at all. I'd rather make a healthy chocolate bean brownie cake, have a small piece and let the kids have their chocolate treats.
-
Cravings from sugar (sweets, artificial sweeteners, etc) - in my experience - go away with time. Just like smoking. I felt that sugar was addictive until I stopped getting my sugar from unnnatural sources. Then I realized, hey I don't need hot chocolate every morning, juice every 10 minutes. I believe sugar/bad carbs and…

Hey thanks for thinking of me! It's just a fact that everyone has different opinions and sometimes we fail to articulate them in a way that is supportive and appropriate. It happens. If you have to argue with me on that statement too then you just have way too much time on your hands.

It's hard to say really. Again I think that comes down to personal experience. I have a strong opinion about permanent low cal dieting but for some, they seem to be OK and fine over the long time with that (perhaps their bodies are also portionate for that level of daily eating). Everyone has different eating habits, food…

Every doctor seems to recommend 1200 these days. Most doctors do not have the additional training after med school/practicum when it comes to nutrition. Ask to be referred to a Dietician and Nutritionist.

Things are frowned upon at this site because every person has an opinion about what works for them (whether it actually happened or not, sustainable longterm, etc,.). Some people fail to articulate their experiences and opinions in a respectful manner. The joys of the internet. I have fasted for short periods before and…

I have in the past because I had problems eating breakfast in the morning. I only had Ensure to put something in my body quickly so I would stop skipping breakfast. I used to be one of those people who was perfectly fine without having my first meal until noon. Now if I can't have a meal, I fix a protein smoothie. Not only…

Nothing wrong with nighttime snacking. If you are losing weight, stick to your food plan as it is now. Fit your desired snack or treat (for a job well done) into your calorie goal. Not that I am advocating eating Rolos everyday but I from time to time have some mini Rolos once in awhile at night. lol Keep up the good work!

Yesterday I read on this forum that low cal is a great way to lose weight and is realistic. Today everyone says that's not enough. Love this place. OP, more info needs to be shared. I would say right off the bat that the amount you stated is *probably* not enough to fuel your body, lose weight and satisfy you

Mmmmmm cheese

Congrats on your weight loss. I definitely recommend doing squats, deadlifts with weight for starters.. don't forget to work your entire body as spot reducing is not possible.
-
Wow - phenomenal transformation. Probably the best I've ever seen. Not just physically but mentally. That takes a lot of willpower! Way to go!!

+1

Do some heavy squats, deadlifts.. lift something. Watch the diet and you'll see results overtime. Unfortunately 4-5 weeks is not long enough. You need to make this a lifelong habit if you wish to be and stay fit

I would save your money - get a regular scale (digital or dial), calipers or a soft measuring tape. Body fat percentage scales are very inaccurate.. the most inaccurate out of all three options I mentioned. There is someone on here who lost 17 lbs recently and freaked out because his BF% scale said he was the same BF% as…

Polar is fantastic and the only HRM brand I would recommend. My first one was the FT40 which has more features than the FT4. I use a FT60 now but it's a bit on the pricey side. Polar offers the FT1 which is like $50. If you just want anything to use, go with the FT1, FT4. If you want something fairly close to accurate with…

Lift some weights :-) I love 30DS by the way but after many times of doing in two years, I got bored. I go back and forth with Stronglifts 5x5 and New Rules of Lifting for Women. Some days I just feel like running or playing soccers. Depends on my mood.
-
Body fat measurements on the scale are inaccurate. I bet you lost quite a bit of body fat and maybe even gained muscle too. When I lost 20lbs, my BMI never changed and I looked like my profile photo. BMI is really useless to go by and can be discouraging. You could buy some calipers or measure yourself regularly with a…

Weight lifting helps. I have always had this annoying upper pubic pooch and it worsened when I had kids. Best you can do is lift heavy, exercise regularly and eat right. As time goes on, you will see it lower considerably - maybe even disappear!
-
Exercise and eating right will give you plenty of energy and improve your mood. Numerous people have said that you should up your calorie intake but I'll stick to your original post. I used to have problems eating breakfast when I first woke up - that and no time. I have not used the brand you posted but definitely grab a…
