Thanks for sharing that story with us. Its nice to see you still living the life of healthy eating habits. It gives us all reassurance that we can do it too. :)

Great job, Lady! :)

Welcome back. Everyone here feel free to add me if you like. I am trying to build a support system here. So far I've had like 3 constant ppl and I wouldn't allow myself anymore. (Didn't like some of the negativity and drama I was seeing out there on the boards). I am SOOOOooo excited to meet others form our challenge group…

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: [singing] If you're blue, and you don't know where to go to, why don't you go where fashion sits... The Monster: 'UTTIN' ON THE 'IIIIITZ. LOVE THAT ONE! or.... this one; :D Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: For the experiment to be a success, all of the body parts must be enlarged. Inga: In other…

I got that question several times over the years. BUT the worst was recently. Twice IN ONE DAY I had two different people ask me "when I was due"and then my 4 y old if "she was exited about the new baby sister or brother." The worst part is this is AFTER i have lost 57 lbs. 0_o

I thought this was inspirational. It is hard to start and its sure as heck is hard to keep moving when you dont blend in with the crowd. Thanks for the reminder to breathe and be proud.

SO proud of you, Miz Amber! That is so awesome. Its nice to know good things are happening for someone who is my daily motivational speaker. You make all of us, MFP peeps, feel special when you support us. Thank you. And keep up the great work, lady!

But I agree with the others here; If her animosity continues you might want to call her on it. That kind of stuff festers in a relationship and rots. Tell her how it makes YOU feel. It might break through to her. If not be prepared for some days of strife and the couch. It sucks, but it least it would be out in the open.

I hate to say it, but... DON'T try to do it. My hubby has always been the healthier one in our relationship. He knew when he met met me that I have issues with food and weight. (I had just lost 65 lbs and reaching my goal weight about 6 months before meeting him). After we married it slowly started to creep up. He knew it…

Real name is Christine. Everyone has always shortened it. My aunt called me Steenie McBeanie as a kid. Over the years it has shortened to McSteenie. *shrugging*

Awesome! Thank you for sharing. It is so wonderful to *see* the results of all your hard work in all aspects of this new life, isn;t it? I also recently took up running and I am walk/running my first 1/2 marathon in January. Was the mental aspect hard? Or was it easier after the 10 K was completed, to visualize the finish?…

Congratulations! That is a HUGE milestone. :flowerforyou:

And hot tea with Splenda really works well, too. I agree, totally. And fruit helps too. Love grapes and strawberries.

I also indulge in a Skinny Cow ice cream Truffle bar from time to time. I also love those Fiber One Oats and Chocolate Chewy bars. If I have the sugar might as well indulge in some fiber as well. I do like to keep some 'Golden" frozen cheese blintz in the freezer for treats as well. I puree some fresh blueberries, add a…

Oh and I have had a friend in the past like this. We don't really talk anymore. The last time we spoke she intimated I might want to keep the big sizes (clothes) "just in case". And my skinny SIL seems to be weird about my weight loss, too. Someone at dinner last week told me I was looking good and asked how much I had…

Oh boy. Been there. But in reverse. Funny now that my SO is retired and I see some of my former Mil Spouse "friends" they act all chummy. Mind you these are some of the same people who would 'forget" to tell me about squadron events. The few times we'd go out on the town for a girl's night I felt like the token fat friend.…

Sorry to be so verbose. This thread really got under my skin. Thanks for listening.

First of all, you are not flawed because these idiots called you fat. YOU ARE FINE. There is nothing wrong with you. I can't tell you exactly how many times I have been called fat. BUT I sure as *bleep* remember most of them though. When I was ten at a county fair someone (adult man) asked me when I was due and how sad it…

Congratulations. That is WONDERFUL! Sorry, had to... lol Seriously though, I know how you feel; that is a GREAT feeling when you dip under that bar of 200 lbs. I got a bit misty when I finally went under the 190 mark as I have not been in the 180s in YEARS. Isn;t it a great motivational tool as well? I love feeling…

You look wonderful! Thanks for sharing your pics and story! It is inspiration to see someone with such a similar starting weight/body type accomplish what you have so far. Keep up the awesome work. :)
