  • Achilles tendinitis, but not from working out! I woke up with a charlie horse in my left calf, and pulled up on my toes to ease it, and ta-dah! Out of commission for several months.
  • I'm 200lbs, up until I injured my Achilles tendon I was doing the C25K program. I wear a 38H bra, I have a special one from Panache Sports that is awesome. I happily paid extra for the comfort and love the fact I CAN run comfortably! I can jump up and down and NOTHING moves. None of my doctors have told me not to run…
  • Thanks! I've been jogging, and that's out. I'll have to look into a gym membership I guess. Hope your appointment goes well!
  • Brandenburg, but I work in Elizabethtown.
  • My mom raised three of us, plus took care of 3 more during the summers. We went out and did things, leashes were never involved. We knew better than to wander off. Mom went over safety with us all the time.
  • Few pointers: Don't beat yourself up over mistakes/bad food choices-think of it as a learning experience Drink plenty of water Do both cardio and weight training Keep track of your measurements, there will be weeks where the scale doesn't move, but you may have lost inches! (happens to me lots) Find healthy methods to…
  • Eat more, cut out the sugared coffee. I aim for 350 calories per meal, for 1050, plus snacks=1,200 to 1,500 calories. Make sure you're mixing cardio with weight training and drink lots (8+ glasses) of water. Also try tracking your body measurements, you may loose inches and be toning without loosing weight! I find that I…
  • Talk to your husband about your concerns and maybe a councilor, parent or pastor too. OP: Glad to see you're trying to work this out. I wish you luck and future happiness!
  • If you need someone to talk to and are not comfortable going to one of the adults in your life try calling this number: 1- 800-DONTCUT or go to your local health department and ask for help.
  • Congrats! Found out today I went from a 40H to a 38G, since March I've lost 10lbs. The lady at the shop I go to was very surprised, she said it usually takes folks between 15-25lbs to show much reduction in bra size.
  • I told everyone, even post my progress and exercise on Facebook. But it didn't work out the the way I expected. I have about 200 friends (yes I know each one personally) and 3 of them comment/like those posts. If I measured support or caring by responses to my post I would probably have quit. However as I've lost weight…

  • The removal of a hat when entering a building signals: #1 you are inside and don't need it, #2 that you are intending to stay for a period of time The removal of the hat and the handshake originated with medieval Knights. Woman on the other hand were often expected to cover their heads as a sign of being modest, or in some…
  • My hubby removes his hat when he enters a building (maybe a little old fashioned) that's the way he was raised. Needless to say hats do not make an appearance at the dinning table. But then I was raised with certain rules: if it wasn't fast food we dressed nicely, church clothes do not involve jeans and dresses must come…
  • Ok, I actually have two answers to this: I'm a youth mentor 10 months a year, on a good day I take the young lady I work with and we go walking at the park. On days I know she has homework/appointments/ect. I usually have to fit my workout in before I go to work or late in the evening when I get home. I will get to the…
  • Coupons are great, my husband checks every on-line site, I go through the paper coupons. Sometimes you can go to websites for specific brands and get coupons. Also I tend to stock up when things are on sale: Green peppers are 85 cents great I'm getting 6-you can freeze lots of produce/meat for use later. I have a head of…

  • I carry my camelbac 24oz water bottle everywhere, it has a straw, which strangely seems to equal more water. I commute 45 minutes to and from work, I now carry two bottles with me. I get bored and find myself drinking more on my drive. I Sometimes water just doesn't sound good so I'll add Mio to it, problem solved. Water…
  • Thanks for all the responses!
  • Just found your group. I live in Brandenburg, but work down in E-town. Been on MFP since March.

  • I look at diaries before I comment on them. If they are under (not by much) and ate healthfully why shouldn't I applaud their efforts? We also watch each other's water consumption, and remind each other if needed. We support each other in healthy habits. I've pointed out to my friends when their numbers are low enough to…

  • You could try hummus, with some flat bread with tomatoes and cucumbers. Also meat pasties (meat turnovers basically) can be eaten cold. We often take this stuff when we go camping.
