FredG here. 5'8" 164 lbs. I have seen about 10 lbs. creep on over the last year or so. My target is 155, but would prefer 150.

You left out the word "just." not speaking for the other person, but the point being fruit includes fiber vs. a donut. Don't be so down on fruit. All things in moderation.

Eating food is not the problem. Overeating causes problems. Balance and moderation is the key, specifically with food and generally in life. The world would be a better place if we sought balance and moderation in our lives, along with a healty dose of tolerance.

It really is about the calories. To lose weight you need to run a calorie deficit. Its that simple. You can get into nutrition and health concerns, but at the end of the day to lose weight it is all about the calories in versus the calories out.

Daily. If I go 3 pounds over my threshold, I can get back to my target weight without too much effort. I have read in multiple places that people that successfully maintain their weight loss weigh themselves daily. This may be better advice for people that have reached their goal.
