I feel very hopeful just logging my food for the day. I didn't realize how much I was overeating. I kept making excuses to myself. There's no excuse. Now I can see it. Every single bite that I eat is logged so hopefully this time around will work!

Thanks everyone! I would love some motivation buddies

Maybe you can try a thrift shop or goodwill store to get something cheap to wear till you hit your goal? Edited to add: I keep going to walmart as I lose weight. The shirts are around $12 and I can get a cute fitted top for $5. When I hit my goal I will hit the mall and go real shopping. :)

I totally agree with the tape measure comment! When I was at a plateau it helped my sanity seeing the inches fall off even though the scale wasn't moving.

I drink a nice hot cup of coffee. :)

I also want to add that since I have started cooking healthy for my family my husband has lost 13 pounds. Now he is logging his calories everyday because he's seeing a difference. Maybe you could cook for her?

Great job! That where I can't wait to be.

I don't believe it in the extent that people freak out about it. If it was such a problem then there wouldn't be so many anorexic people out there. Obviously if you have a deficit you will lose weight. Just a matter of how quickly I guess.

15 pounds. I started at 195 and I'm 5'6. My face slimmed first and I think that's why people noticed. I am down nearly 30 pounds and there are still certain people that refuse to say anything. I know it's noticeable. I went down 7 inches in my waist alone.

My husband just got on board with MFP too. He drives all day because he's a home care physical therapist. I pack him lunch and very healthy snacks in a very large cooler that he keeps on the front seat. Salads for lunch lots of fresh fruit and veggies and plenty to drink. No excuses.

I have an awesome recipe that's super easy. My husband hates fish and even he eats it. Parmesan crusted tilapia 3/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan 2 tsp paprika Dash salt Tbs olive oil 1 pound tilapia Mix cheese, salt and paprika in a bowl. Rub the fish with oil. Place fish in cheese mix and coat. Place on baking sheet and bake…

Sometimes I think it's jealousy.

I am obsessed with watermelon. Eat it every day. It's for my sweet tooth.

Great job! You look fantastic. :)

I'm in Tampa.

If I have a sweet craving that gets out of control I drink water bottle with a Crystal Light packet. It's so sweet, I usually will guzzle it then my stomach is full. Then I forget about the cake or cookie I wanted.

I know what you mean about being OCD with the calories. I nearly have a panic attack if I eat over 800 calories a day. If it goes over I feel the need to exercise. I know I'm not heading down a good path. I have lost a lot of weight in a very short period of time. It is all I think about. Definitely an obsession. You're…

Every morning and every night and sometimes in between. I am Obsessive about it.

My jeans that I have kept for over 7 years , (I do realize how sad that is), actually fit and had some room! They were from a time in my life when I felt really good about myself. I really needed this right now. :)

Thank you all so much for the advice. I guess the answer is clear, I will need to lift! Can't wait to get started. :)
-
I panic if I can't burn at least 300 calories a day! So I think I know the feeling.

I am! From Long Island transplanted in Tampa. Does that count? ;)

You're awesome for being there. You deserve to be there and get healthy. Screw everyone else. Who cares what they think.

I miss eating whatever I wanted when I wanted it without guilt. Really miss a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. I can't eat it anymore since I had my gallbladder out. Makes me sick. :(

I plan my entire day in the morning. Then I stick to it. I am extremely anal with my calories and will freak if it varies from my log.

I always gain 7 pounds water weight during TOM. I use that time to exercise a little harder. That way it always feels good the next week when I am "down" 10 pounds.
