Oh, I don't know if they are better. Just that they are usually super $$$$ and I got them for $. Hee! And I totally understand about the big clothes thing. Running in one of my hubby's t-shirts is no fun now that I know I can look a little nicer AND feel better about myself while I'm working on my running.

http://www.veganbodybuilding.com/ And some info on the leading ultramarathoner (anything over 26.2 miles) - Scott Jurek who is a vegan. Have any of you ever run 100 miles through the desert? http://scottjurek.com/

I ran in a new pair of shorts yesterday that were pretty short. I might have been flashing a little *kitten*. But, I figured... "who the hell cares!?" And I ran anyway. Then I got beeped at by a shirtless guy in a pickup truck, so... :O

1. What Week/Day are you on? -- week 4, day 3 tomorrow 2. How do you feel? -- great, confident, like I can finally do this! 3. Have you had to repeat a week or day? -- I've had some tough days, but I haven't had to repeat anything 4. Did you add time or remove time from one of your runs? -- Nope. I walk extra at the end…

If I look back at my notes (I'm just finishing up week 4), it seems like there is one day a week that I don't feel as good or as confident as the others. Then it evens out again. I'd push through it and you can always drop back if you need to.

Great!

Just did day 2. It was tougher than day 1. I think it was the heat. But I pushed through!

I hate to say this as it's not really an answer but you have to PUSH through it! I did week 4, day 1 on Monday. I thought for sure I was going to crap out on the last 5 minute run. My steps slowed, I even walked two steps. Then I said, "NO! RUN!" and I did. I'm sure I was running at a snail's pace, but I kept on. Do week 3…

Congrats!

Yes, steam it first! Then dump it into a bowl full of wing sauce! Then fry it up in a cast iron skillet with teeniest bit of oil to prevent sticking. THEN DEVOUR IT! NOM NOM!

From what I understand, it is just like you say. if you already run when you get pregnant, you can continue running at the same level (meaning: don't increase your mileage or do speed work). If you're not already running, then don't start. Obviously, CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR FIRST! I can't give you any better advice than…

Yup! This! You can do it!
-
YES! Congrats!

I did d1 today. Almost crapped out on the last 5 min run but I powered through. I did get a nice blister though. My first. I feel like runner!

Last night, I made a fantastic kale-vegetable soup. Super easy! Ingredients 1 tbs olive oil 1 small yellow onion chopped 3 garlic cloves chopped 2 celery stalks (including leafy tops) chopped 2 carrots peeled and chopped 1 small yellow squash chopped into half moons 1 can petite diced tomatoes 1 can northern white beans 4…

Fabulous! My mom has adopted veganism as a dietary choice and my dad has cut down on his meat consumption drastically! I'm very proud of both of them!
-
I started out as a vegetarian, but realized that I was fooling myself about how dairy and eggs are ok. They are NOT. Chickens and dairy cows are treated horribly and I don't want to contribute to that.

Can you download some podcasts so you are listening for the prompts and not staring at your watch? It's a mental issue. You know you can do it! I start week 4 on Saturday! We can do it!

When I can't get my breath I do a three count - in through the nose 1, 2, 3 and out through the mouth 1, 2, 3 I just told my hubby that I finally understand what he means when he says "I found my breath, the run was good." Once you can find your breath, it will seem so easy! If you smoke, you can also try to quit. That…
