This is true. I've not eaten meat in 5 years and have since given up all animal by-products. Would you be surprised to hear that people try to "trick" me into eating meat? That at most family gatherings or parties I am pestered by friends and family alike as to my choices? Do you believe that I do NOT bring it up to my…

From what I understand of the study, the reserachers recommend less than 1 pound of red meat per person, per week. If someone told you (general you, not anyone specific) that it was recommended to eat less than 1 pound of *cake* per person, per week. Everyone would say, "Well of course! Cake is bad for you. Eat in…

The frustrating part about it is that it is NOT what veganism is about. People who have NEVER been exposed to veganism will click on this blog and see a crazy lady doing a juice fast and think -- "I knew those vegans were crazy." Folks who do juice fasts and claim it's healthy because it's vegan are just misinformed. They…

Word. I get this all the time. I especially like when you tell someone a vegan and then they ask "What do you eat?" I point at myself and say, "Does it look like I have trouble finding something to eat?" Haha. It's a way to diffuse the situation, but it doesn't make it better. ANYONE can be overweight. Luckily, we're here…

<I just got one on my left wrist. I like being able to look down and see it. I can also hide it with a watchband if I need to.

I've done this before and its great with a cup of Joe in the mornings. :)
-
I drink about 16oz of coffee in the morning with just a little soya. It's a good amount, I think.

Thanks! I'm already planning the next one. Soon as my tattooist gets back in town. ;D

I love you so much! Here's mine: "I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you. I was to busy staring at your giant horse teeth!"

I've learned that the worse time for me to "sneak eat" is the time between getting home at 4pm and dinner around 5:30. I need to have a handful of peanuts or an apple or some tea to tide me over.

I am not a morning person either, so here is what I do to make sure I'm out the door on time. I have to leave the house at 6:30 to make it to work by 7. I set my first alarm for 5:30. I also set my coffee pot to make coffee at 5:30. Very, very rarely do I get up when this alarm goes off. The next alarm goes off at 5:45.…

This is pretty good advice, but I would not put anything in the crate until you get them crate trained. With towels or cloth in the crate its easy for them to go in one spot and still be able to sleep in another spot. It seems harsh not to put anything in the crate, but it will speed up the process of crate training…

Bowls - stainless steel or ceramic, no plastic. Plastic holds bacteria, plus it's funny for puppies to chew. Food - puppy food - Collar w/ name tag - make sure you get a name tag with your phone number on it right away!! Leash - no retractable! It teaches them to pull and they are not safe. They can break really easy. Toys…

Field Roast sausages are so meat-like that the first time I had one, I wasn't sure I could eat it. But I do like them cut up/chopped up in stuffings or things like that. I just can't eat them plain!

Bump! Paeli, get yourself a NINJA! It can blend cashews like a champ. Love it!
-
I use brown to make a similar soup - but I add in two celery stalks chopped up (leaves and all) and a can of fire roasted tomatoes instead of fresh tomatoes. I also throw in a handful of spinach at the end! The cumin gives everything such a nice flavor! Might have to make some this weekend!

Hmm... I guess it would depend on how he presented it to her. If he said, "Honey, I'm going to make some fish for dinner, would you like some?" I probably wouldn't be that upset. It's his choice to go back to fish and maybe he thought your daughter would want to try it or something. However, if he was more forceful about…

Good for you! I don't know much about Quest bars, but if you're okay with putting in a little effort you could easily make yourself a batch of vegan protein/energy bars on Sunday and freeze them for the week. Then it's just grab and go! Try Oh She Glows (google it) for her glo bar recipe. If you want to friend me you can…

bump... I'm pretty sure a flax egg would work and make this vegan! Yum!
-
I keep a box of rolled oats, a jar of peanut butter, a bunch of soups (with the pop top) and a bag of frozen veggies in the freezer. This gets me through those days I have nothing at home!
-
I'm vegan... you can friend me!
-
I'm kind of there with you.. "vee-gehn"
-
I have 1/4 c. oatmeal, a sprinkle of sugar, and a tbs of peanut butter with hot water (sometimes soy milk). It is delicious and filling!

I'm not an athlete, but I do try to eat healthy. You can friend me if you'd like. I'm a vegan and my dairy is visible to my friends. My friend THULPA is also a vegan and he is a mixed martial artist. He has a training journal on the VBB forums (same name) and you could friend him, as well.

1.Other than rice, beans, nuts, fruits and veggies what do you eat? This is one of my biggest pet peeves (not you in particular, just in general) about people's idea of vegans. I eat whatever I damn well want! Feel free to friend me and look at my diary. I eat probably the same things you do -- cereals, oatmeals, bagels…
