Sent you a message, I'm in

I get an iced coffee with 1 or 2 pumps of pumpkin spice syrup (30 calories a pump, but so worth it) and a little bit of nonfat milk.
-
1 cup romaine lettuce 1/2 cup pumpkin puree 1/2 cup greek yogurt 1 cup milk 1 cup frozen fruit 6 macadamia nuts dash of cinnamon

I eat 5 meals a day, including a healthy carb (fruit, whole grain, beans, etc.) with every meal. I've lost 23 lbs in the past 3 months. Of course, I'm also exercising and drinking lots of water, but my point is that you can eat carbs and still lose weight.

Use a cleaner like Nature's Miracle or Simple Solution (sold at most pet stores) to clean up the bed and sheets. Sometimes cats need more than one litter box. Other things you can try are feliway (cat aromatherapy, available in both plug-in and spray) and litter attractant. I agree that you should take the cat to the vet…

I recommend New Rules of Lifting for Women, it's a book, there is also a group on here http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/102-new-rules-of-lifting-for-women-nrol4w , they have several threads that answer questions about lifting.

My best friend growing up was an orange tabby named Tigger, he passed away when I was in high school and it broke my heart. About 9 years ago I decided I was ready to open up my heart to a new kitty and I asked someone who was giving away kittens for a black male kitten; what they gave me instead was a female calico. I…

Welcome to MFP!

Here are some of my recipes: (I don't have the best blender, so I run my veggies through the food processor first.) Green smoothie: 2 cups romaine lettuce 3 macadamia nuts 1/2 cup greek yogurt 1/2 cup lowfat milk 1 cup frozen fruit (usually mango or berries) 1/2 tsp cinnamon Orange and green smoothie: 1 cup romaine lettuce…

Definitely discard the green leaves. The recipes I've seen for the rice involving microwaving the cauliflower after you either process or grate it. I mix the uncooked cauliflower bits with egg and cheese and then bake to make the pizza crust.
-
Cauliflower rice is made by either running cauliflower through a food processor or grating it. I haven't had a chance to use it in place of rice yet, but I make cauliflower crust pizza with it.

Exactly. I think it's actually healthier to learn to indulge in moderation than to cut out all high-calorie foods altogether. I used to eat so much chocolate almost mindlessly. For the past two months, I still let myself have some chocolate, but in much smaller amounts and I think it over before I eat it. I've found that…

This was taken on a trip to Boston with my life-long friends, couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a picture with my love, Mr. Blue M&M. It was this same trip where I stepped on a scale and realized how heavy I had gotten, but I waited several months and gained 9 more pounds before I got motivated enough to finally do…

Loved the book, also loved Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by the same author. I was disappointed by the movie. I really felt that the movie changed too many details and focused way too much on fast-paced action instead of actual plot.

I love vampires, my husband loves zombies, and we met while working at Starbucks :) I have some coworkers doing a local run for your life. I don't think my knee is up for the challenge yet, but I'd love to participate in one of those events in the future.

If you like competition you should check out the Game On diet www.thegameondiet.com , I've been playing with some of my coworkers and it has really helped motivate me and keep me accountable. I have never really "dieted" before and I've always given up exercise routines pretty quickly, but I've been doing this since the…

Do you have an ankle brace or support to wear? If you do, it might make walking around there easier. I used to wear a knee brace before my surgery and it helped a lot at Rennfest.
-
I was there on Aug 26th during the great flood. Planning on going back October 21st.
-
I'm currently on the Game On Diet and I need to drink 3 liters of water a day, so I track it on here.
-
I would also love to have a capybara and possibly a red panda, they are two of my favorite zoo animals.
-
I agree with this. At one point in my life I was too depressed to chew food, and I drank milkshakes, meal replacement shakes, and ate pudding to survive.

I love Zumba, I've been doing Aqua Zumba for a year to help strengthen my legs after knee surgery. Also, in Aqua Zumba, the water helps cover any sexy moves. :)
-
The water shoes aren't mandatory, but I find that they help with some of the moves and most importantly, keep me from stubbing my toes on the bottom of the pool.

I'm on my second round of the Game On Diet www.thegameondiet.com Basically, it's 5 meals a day, every 2-4 hours. Each meal has a fist-sized carb or fruit, palm sized protein, and thumb sized healthy fat, and at least 2 of the meals need to have 2 fist-sized veggies. You can eat unlimited celery and cucumbers. Every week I…

Do you have Laughing cow cheese over there? They have a light queso fresco & chipotle flavor.

Good news, Hack & Slash will be at the MD rennfest for the first two weekends. I agree that the crowding is an issue, I've been attending less and less as both the prices and the crowds have grown. I'm actually looking forward to buying some new garb to celebrate my weight loss

Hey everybody! I've lived in Maryland my whole life, currently live in Anne Arundel County and work in Howard County. I'm getting ready to start another round of The Game On Diet with my co-workers and I love aqua zumba.
-
I love aqua zumba, been going twice a week for the past year. I used to do regular zumba, but after my knee surgery, I switched to aqua zumba. I use the calculation on here for water aerobics to count calories burned, but I have no idea how accurate that is. My advice for beginning aqua zumba is: 1. Wear water shoes 2.…

Made this today, topped it with sliced tomatoes, strips of red, yellow, & orange peppers, and kalamata olives, it was amazing!
