Just like others, I was soo NOT a runner and hated it!! I also started the c25k program and currently in W7D2 running 25 minutes and still can't believe it! Make sure you check out the c25k board on here for some great tips and support. You can do this!

I have not completed it yet (currently on W7D2), but can say FOR SURE it works!!! I was one that always said that I was not a runner and could never be. Just stick to it and remember it is not a race, slow and steady. You can do it!

That is awesome!! I give you so much credit with running in the cold, that is great! We moved from Northern Illinois to Georgia 5 years ago and I have turned into a weather wimp!!! I did as well this afternoon. I started to get a small cramp at about 20 minutes and thought "not now", but ran through it and made it. W7D2…

The first week for sure! I had convinced myself for so long that I was not a runner and could not become a runner:( Starting week 7 today and can't believe how far I have come!

I am currently starting week 7 and have done it all on the treadmill. I am getting nervous about transferring to the road as well. I have done my 7 weeks at a 2% incline so hoping it helps a bit.

I have both and prefer my treadmill much more over the elptical. Like someone said I would check Craigslist. They are soo much less for one just like new!

I just started to run about 2 months ago. Up until then, I only walked during 90% of my weight loss.

I am currently on week 7 and from everything I have read they say to just stick to the program. As others have said the rest days are very important.

I like Nike and can normally find great sales/clearence on them at places like the Academy, TJ Max, ect.. I also like some of Target's clothes as well

I am also 42 and decided to get back in shape. I have been doing MFP for just about a year (end of March). It took a bit longer now that i am older, but so worth it! You can do it no problem!

If it was not for flavored water, I would have 0 water intake on itself! I have to put MIO or something in it to drink it all day.
