Depends on how you look at it. My largest meal, by volume, is lunch. Lots of veggies, and a small protein. Dinner, however, is when I eat the most calories. ;)
-
Yep. I make batches of food, especially for dinner. I use the recipe builder to put all of the ingredients in, then the servings. MFP will divide the nutrient total by the servings.

Yes, you should raise it. When thinking about calories... don't just think of them as a number limit. You should take into consideration the protein that your muscles need, the carbs you need for energy, the fat you need in order to absorb vitamins, etc. Just because you do not feel hungry does not mean your body is…

I'm in, if I can exclude Super Bowl. ;) lol

Best advice I can give is to just start logging. You will learn which foods contain a high level of calories, protein, fat, carbs, etc... Simply eating at, or just under, your calorie goal will get you weight loss. If you are looking to gain muscle or lose body fat specifically, learning what macro goals you want to meet…

Probably 10... *sigh*

Eat enough calories. I'd just increase by a couple hundred each week until you are maintaining. (MFP should already be increasing your calorie goal as you lose weight)

Well, I don't like the scale, so it's a mutual dislike and mistrust too. So when that ***** is giving me problems, and lying to me... I just say fine, your *kitten* is going in the corner and ain't no one stepping on you for a week. See how you like that. Usually persuades it to see the error of its ways. Or measurements,…

Don't use the diet or your weight as an excuse, people feel compelled to convince you it's not really an issue. Just say, "No thanks, I'm not hungry". Or, "I'm full". Or just. "Naw, I'm good". They might ask, "Are you sure?" but when you tell them yes, that should be the end of it. Unless they're just weirdos, in which…

Are you including any exercise in your TDEE calculation? MyFitnessPal does not include any exercise calories, you have to add those in when you burn them, as they are considered extra. I believe you should start with 1500 and monitor your progress for a few weeks and adjust it based on how your body reacts. Also, consider…

Anything about detox. Anything Dr. Oz recommends. Anything about having to eat clean. McDonalds is poison. You can't eat after 6pm. You shouldn't eat breakfast. You should eat breakfast. You should fast. You can't eat ice cream. Or poptarts. And certainly not ice cream WITH poptarts! You shouldn't lift anything more than…

Golf? I mean, it's not the most strenuous activity, but it's a lot of walking AND awesome bonding time.

You can enter it as a food (do a search for breastfeeding and select how often)... it will show up as negative calories, and add them back into your total calories allowed.

Pft. May as well get your "tacos" from Jack in the Box... every one knows you go to a taco truck to get tacos!

Depends on how you track. I got the Fitbit because I really don't care how many calories I am burning while I exercise, since I don't do a lot of cardio anyway. I want to track how many total calories I burn all day. You can't do that with a hrm. Fitbit is what helped me figure out my TDEE and I can track how many calories…

I'm from Houston too... *kitten* this damn cold! I thought about quitting my job this morning just so I wouldn't have to get out from under the covers!!!
-
You don't have to upgrade MFP. You just have to select Fitbit as one of your Apps so that it will sync automatically. I have heard of the ones getting lost easily, but I always clipped mine to my bra and never lost it. I did forget to put it on a few times though... but stick it next to your toothbrush or something so it's…

^^This. I miss running. but it's too damn cold for all that nonsense... :grumble: Plus... cake. Nomnom.

Not me! I'm only 5'1"... so, I'm good on that. lol

Hello to you both! I'm also on the track to get healthy and fit again. I have 3 children. Hope I don't come across as rude... just want to look out for my fellow women... :) Christina, please do not be on a 1200 calorie diet. You are WAY too active for that. You are going to hurt yourself. Change your settings to at least…

I take that back. Icecream Sundae (Hey, it's my first time. Don't judge. lol)
-
Yes. Because my *kitten* is covered in a bikini, as well as the tops of by breasts. A bra only covers nipple and below... and my thong well... only covers the front.
-
Also, keep in mind that the Fitbit is giving a projected estimate for the day on MFP. So if you are checking MFP right after you exercise, that count could go down as the day progresses. You can check Fitbit for the actual calorie burn so far that day.

I do. I tried to maintain my weight without calculating it... and was consistently losing weight every week, even when I went over my calories. I have to eat about 100 calories more per day than what the calculators say to maintain my weight if I don't count it... I'd say it's important for me. (Which goes along with what…

When you add in your exercise, it will get closer, and probably even out over the week. How much are you eating now? How much weight are you losing per week? Use the calculators as a guide, and then use your actual results to adjust.
-
I would suggest changing MFP to lightly active. (Even with a desk job, you still have errands to run, dishes to wash, laundry to fold, meals to prepare, hallways to walk, etc... so are not sedentary) And eat the calories it gives you for 1 pound per week. You will feel better, not tired, but will be losing at a steady…

Time travel? Or, just apply the same level of discipline and rules that you use all week long.... Either way. ETA: Or don't deprive yourself all week to the point you feel the need to binge on the weekend. That one may work for you.

Lucky number

Red Velvet poptart and ice cream sandwich. I haven't had the calories left for it yet... I always eat too much before I get home. :grumble:
