Do your best to push through it...most of us have been there at some point. Remind yourself that you've NEVER left a workout feeling worse than when you came in. If anything you probably feel better. Hang in! Mind over matter!

Okay so I had a scare and thought over spring break I gained a bunch because I did AWFUL....ends up it was water weight, BUT I'm so glad I did freak. Now, I've got my energy back for it and WHY I'm doing this. I also decided to raise my goal...10 lbs seems doable where as 17 felt impossible. After I lost that then I'll…

That's the only show I watch really....GO FOR IT!!! How could you possibly not take that opportunity if they came to you! That's awesome...break a leg. Go out there and WORK IT!

When I've exercised sometimes it will hurt and feel like its numb or something from pain, but not just when I'm walking around...hmm...not sure on that one...when in doubt ask a doctor. Hope you figure it out!

My favorite is baking chicken (spice it however you like), then towards the end I throw in a can of diced tomatoes with garlic, throw on a low fat cheese and its MM GOOD!
-
Where does one buy that? I mean I can go to a sushi place and get it...but I've never noticed it elsewhere.
-
Hey all what is everyone finding that fills them up really well....could use some good ideas. Mine is POST TRAIL MIX ALMOND AND RAISIN CEREAL...mmmm...good!

Well thank God! I'm so paranoid about that stuff...my grandfather died of a sudden heart attack when my dad was 6. Our whole lives we heard our Dad say he wouldn't make it to 50 just like his Dad. Needless, to say I'm paranoid...even though my Dad is pushing 70!

Thanks for the great ideas! If for no other reason I need to try the other classes just to keep myself from getting bored and not exercising then at all. Guess its time to make a good dance list AND hit the floor with some new exercise ideas :)

Yep...that's a hard one, but I know you all can do it! If others can then we can. This site is amazing and a great tool.

Oh my gosh...I almost said 30 sebastianbach, but I'm 32. Time flies!

How high should I be able to let my heart rate get? Around 162 I start getting a little scared that its too high, but I don't really know. How does one know for sure?

Well, I've been trying to figure out my backsliding attitude and I've decided part of it is a big ol' rut! Anybody have some creative ways to get exercise? I have a membership at the YMCA and enjoy it, but I need some new ideas. There is a Pilates and Yoga class I'd like to try, but haven't because I worry I won't burn…

4 inches that's amazing!!! Congrats...now I'm a little more motivated to go do my sit-ups :)

Thanks for sharing...this is a great article. So true.

Thanks!! Hope your weigh-in day is SLAMMIN! :)

I haven't been practicing what I preach...its time for me to kick my butt for backsliding!! Have been really "blue" this year and some of my old habits have slowly been sneaking in. Just needed to post a vow in a public place that I WILL EAT RIGHT, STAY FIT, PUSH MYSELF, POST on WEEKENDS and lose the 5lbs I've put back on.…

Have a game plan. No goal is reached without preparation. How are you going to deal with cravings? When you are super busy how can you still eat healthy? When someone ticks you off and you want to go eat the chocolate cake how are you going to counter act it? I think the best thing I ever did was cook on Sundays and freeze…

Just wanted to say hang in! Its definitely not an easy road, but it can be conquered. This has been a journey for me for YEARS. Changing little things, but I NEVER SAY THE WORD DIET...when people talk to me about having lost the weight. Its good ol' fashioned hard work and its a lifestyle change. There is definitely a fine…

I had a friend growing up who was always trying to gain weight and muscle...in the end I think it came with age and him eating more protein and weight lifting. I'm no expert though. Good luck to your friend and hope she finds the healthy medium for herself. I'm sure it can be equally as frustrating! Best of luck!

I'm sure it would help...she could see on each meal how many calories she has eaten. Does she snack all day or eat 3 meals a day....or does she just not eat?
-
Hey AliciaKarver...I hope you've been to see a doctor...it sounds miserable!
-
Kerrilucko is right...you lose where you lose...you can firm up areas some, but that's about it. I was rather partial to my "girls" as well :) I've definitely lost some!

I was told you've got to either change your intensity, speed or duration of your workouts and that 1200 cal. is low for women. I know some people eat extra calories and that helps because in reality they aren't getting enough. I'm testing out this theory now...so we'll see if it works :)
-
Ummm....am I suppose to be watching my carbs that closely? :) You go!
-
Walk, walk, walk...you do so much of it that it really helps! Have fun and man, if you just stay away from all the drinking people usually do down there you'll be fine. You'll get to EAT some yummy stuff rather than drink up all your calories and then some! Have fun!
-
Hope all is well! Could also be a panic/anxiety attack. They come without warning and can really raise your heartbeat. I'm sure your doctor will be able to tell ya!
-
When I set it to 1lb per week loss I only get 1,200 calories!!! I tried it...can't do it...I get too hungry and it means I have to WORK OUT EVERY DAY no matter what just to be able to eat more and not feel hungry. I work out about 4 to 5 times a week...going up to 7 days a week...I just don't have time. I put in at LEAST…

Okay the "Happy Weight" thing was freaking depressing!!! Oh my God, its the same stuff I've heard all my life...I should weigh...like 119 lbs. YEAH RIGHT! I presently weigh 160...my goal was 150, but I'd really like 140. In the 6th grade I probably weighed 130 at my lowest.... Think I'll stick to my doctors advice...he was…

That's very interesting! I'm not sure now if I should be depressed or hopeful though :) LOL
