If you don't mind me asking, how much weight do you have to lose? If it is less than 25 pounds then the most you should do is 1 lb a week. Only obese people should try for that big of a loss, with just overweight people we are putting our metabolism at risk when we try to do that.

It is crazy, when I started it had me at 1200 too, until I realized there was no way I could comfortable lose 2 pounds a week. Even so, sometimes my deficits were around 1600 a day. No wonder I kept getting sick.

The bodymedia with bluetooth was $210 at amazon and I signed up for the yearly commitment so it is going to be 6.95 a month after my first free 3 months.
