Congratulations!

PS, I lost another pound today, so it's 83 lbs.

Snowflake954, I am just logging on MFP every day. I'm keeping my calories at no higher than 1600. And I'm keeping my sodium low, at 1500 mg. It's hard to eat a lot if you keep your sodium low, because everything has sodium. It has taken about 18 months. Doing it slowly. Having some days where I binge or just don't do well.…

I can't figure out how to upload a picture

You look great!

See a therapist and a dietitian to help you. The dietitian can give you advice on sugar. The therapist can help you to find other coping mechanisms than eating sugar. I doubt you have an addiction. More like a habit.

This was written in 2013. Dietitians and cardiologists in 2022 recommend eating between 1500-2000 mg of sodium for heart failure patients and people with high blood pressure. Your information is outdated and wrong. People should get sodium advice from dietitians and physicians, not from some person on MFP.

I had to get all new pajamas and clothes because everything is too big for me! I have 79 lbs off. That last darn pound has been hanging in there all month. Can't wait to get 80 lbs off!
-
Congrats!! I have 69 off so far. What have you been doing to lose weight?
-
How many calories do you eat each day?
-
I have 66 calories off so far. I eat whatever I want, whenever I want, as long as it fits in my daily macros.
-
Everything but water has calories. Eat low carb vegetables like celery, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes for low calories.
-
I lost 40 lbs before visibly noticing a change. Keep going. Take pics to help. And don't forget to add one here.
-
I make my own meal plans. What kind of help could you use making yours?
-
I just sent you a friend request
-
How many daily calories do you eat? How long have you been dieting? How much have you lost?
-
You need to eat more, but that doesn't mean forcing in unwanted food. You can do things like adding butter to your food, or using milk instead of water in oatmeal, or marinating meat in salad dressing, or dipping your chicken in blue cheese dressing, or adding olives and cheese to your salads. I would definitely do what…

To wear regular socks instead of plus size socks.

Cheese. Any kind of cheese. In things. On things. Next to things. By itself.

Some of the things I eat for breakfast: - Ham Frittata, Del Monte Fruit Cup Snacks Diced Pears No Sugar Added - Cottage cheese w/blueberries and dab of whipped cream - Light and Fit Vanilla Yogurt with granola mixed in - Paleo Banana Nut Muffins, Light and Fit Yogurt - Toasted English Muffin w/Smart Balance, Dole Organics…

Just put in the 1423 and MFP will do the macro part for you. My dietitian says to do 30% carbs, 30% protein, and 40% fat for optimum weight loss.
-
If you don't have MFP friends, nobody's info will come up. So, you could drop any friends you have to accomplish that.
-
I worked on the 15th floor at your age and I walked up and down the stairs each day. It's great exercise!

Dietitians are the best person to ask about these things. I have food allergies and when I got diagnosed, a dietitian is the one who told me what to eat and not to eat. The doctor didn't know a thing beyond telling me what I was allergic to.
-
I'd take a look at exactly how much you are eating. Plenty of us take off a lot of weight after menopause. I did, and still am. It's more about calories, even at this stage of life.
-
BettJo64, I looked at your diary. Your calories are under 800 calories per day. What did your doctor say about that? It's not good to go under 1200 calories a day.
-
It varies for everyone. At your weight, your weight should come off pretty quickly for a while. How far into July do you hope to lose the weight by?
-
It drives me nuts when someone says, "At the end of the day."
-
I have around 70 off, but mine hasn't changed. Plus, if it does change, you can switch it back if you want.

People aren't meant to eat for only an hour a day at starvation calorie levels. If you feel the need to do intermittent fasting, at least expand your window to eat during an 8 hour period and get in 1200 calories each day by having more than one meal each day. Going to see a dietitian is a good idea.
