82 lbs off so far
I have 82 lbs off so far. During this time, I had a sprained hip, 2 sprained shoulders, a rare flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, covid and heart failure. And, somehow, I still stuck to my plan.

Two-der-land
I did nothing but sit around eating during the pandemic. I hit a high of 368 lbs. I knew I had to get serious about my weight. I have lost 69 lbs now. Today I hit 299. It feels good to be out of the 300s! I caught covid in the spring and it caused me to go into congestive heart failure. So, I have to keep going on this…

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
My husband found out he has non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. His liver enzyme numbers were off twice, but the family doctor told him not to worry about it. Then, he had two ultrasounds done by a GI doc. The first showed mild fatty liver, and the GI doc said nothing. He had to ask the doctor, and the doctor said it was…

People asking how I lost weight
I have about 70 lbs off. It has taken about 9 months. Every time someone notices my weight loss, they ask how I lost weight. I tell them I use MFP to track my calories and that I eat up to 1600 calories a day. They look at me with disappointment and then proceed to tell me how I'm losing weight "wrong" and which way I…

52 lbs off
I have lost 52 lbs since July 1 by tracking my calories on MFP and seeing a dietitian for advice. I can have up to 1600 calories a day and up to 30% of my net calories can be carbs (subtracting fiber from carbs).

How many calories
How do I figure out how many calories to eat? I have over 100 to lose, don't get much activity (disabled) and eat 1600 calories a day. My daughter has 50 lbs to lose, works at a school and gets about 10,000 steps each day, and eats 1200 calories a day. I don't think she is eating enough. Where can I calculate how much we…

Last night
I was overtired last night, dealing with health problems, and feeling in need of comfort, and I almost binged. Instead, I managed to talk myself down from the ledge by reminding myself that I'd be awake with acid reflux all night if I binged, and that I really needed sleep. So, I had two turkey meat sticks (like small Slim…

breakfast ideas
Can anyone recommend some lower-carb breakfast ideas other than crustless quiches? I eat quite a bit of those, and I'd like some other ideas. I don't really need recipes at this point, just some ideas as to what others eat. Thanks

New
Hi, I was on a vegan diet for a year, but with being allergic to wheat, corn and soy, it was difficult. So, I do vegetarian meals (sometimes vegan, sometimes not) about two days of each week now. I'm hoping we can share some recipes.

Thinking like a Thin Person
My friend (katefitin14) and I have started to read a book called, "The Beck Diet Solution: Train Your Brain to Think Like a Thin Person" by Judith Beck.
