Here is the sprouts recipe we had with the wild rice pilaf. Delicious!!!

Savory Oven Roasted Brussels Sprouts

1 envelope Lipton Recipe Secrets Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix
2 pkgs fresh Brussels sprouts
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil

Method:

Preheat oven to 400°.

Trim ends and outer leaves of Brussels sprouts. Cut sprouts in half.

In 13 x 9-inch baking dish, combine all ingredients until evenly coated. Place sprouts in a single layer.

Roast in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring once or twice for even browning, until deep golden brown, crisp outside and tender inside. The leaves that are loose will be especially brown and crispy.

Sounds great. Maybe, just maybe, my toddlers would eat them like this.

I cook these all the time, but I've never used Lipton soup mix. I'll have to try it next time. Thanks!

I never got into brussels sprouts until I tried them roasted. I learned that a little carmelized crunchiness makes them taste amazing.

I only use a bit of olive oil and even my kids love it! I like the idea of adding that soup mix though.

I will try this. Will adding the entire envelope of soup mix make it too salty?

I don't find it too salty as long as I use 2 pkgs of sprouts. With 1 pkg, it's salty. But, you could try just half the envelope.

Sounds good but I will try with Mrs Dash garlic and herb to reduce sodium. Thanks for the suggestions!

I have made it with the Mrs. Dash garlic and herb and it was really, really peppery, to the point that I didn't want to eat it. If I do that again, I will try using the Mrs. Dash table blend to see if it's less spicy.
