  • Just because he may or may not have a fatty liver has no bearing on his enzymes being abnormal. I have fatty liver disease and my liver enzymes are in normal ranges. Do NOT assume on such little info.
  • I just got my apple watch and am not seeing a way to have the two linked together like I had with my fitbit
  • my favorite is to take a large portabello mushroom, stem side up with the stem cut off, find a marinara sauce you like, your favorite low fat cheese, and what ever toppings you want bake for about 30 - 40 minutes.
  • When I am short on time, I make smoothies for breakfast. I use two different fruits, half cup berries and one banana, about 6-8 ice cubes, a quarter cup quaker oatmeal, and half cup milk. I also try to keep cheese and/or yogurt on hand for the protein.
  • For me my motivation to keep going is those that tell me I am going to quit or I am going to fail. There is something inside me that doesn't want them to win.
  • We have a guy at my gym that showers and styles his hair before coming to the gym to work out, when he is there, he takes 20 minutes between sets on a machine. We have one guy that gets on the stairmaster and does back kicks, I think he does it to see if he can kick a passer by in the head. One day it'll be me he almost…
  • I have had a few different steamers and loved them all. I also took to cooking on the stove as steamed veggies can get boring rather quickly.
  • I make a salsa chicken in my crock pot: 4 boneless skinless chicken breast 2 tbs taco seasoning 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 cup salsa 1 cup sour cream cook on low for 8 - 10 hours, I personally like the chicken shredded. If you have a favorite pasta, it is really good over pasta. Dreamfields pasta is diabetic friendly.…
  • You know, I have to agree with many that have already posted. They eat what is made or they go hungry. They get hungry, they will eat. My son did not want to eat one evening, so I wrapped up his dinner and told him that it would be there for breakfast. The next day I warmed it up for him when he got up, he didn't want to…
  • One thing I have come to realize is that veggies get borins so quickly. I used to just steam them, as we mostly ate brocolli, asparagus, brussel sprouts, artichokes, and cauliflower. Those are all great but very limiting and boring. I learned to cook veggies in various ways. I check allrecipes.com and transfer the ones…
  • I did it for a while. While I agree most of the food was pretty gross, there are ways to make it beter, you will have to check out the the message boards on mymedifast.com for help on making somethings better. The oatmeal was the only thing that I actually had to choke down. I did lose 50 pounds on it but gained it all…
  • The variation I make holds up for about 2 or 3 days. After that it's pretty much toast.
  • I wil make that for my hubby who is diabetic, well, used to when he was behaving himself. It was a great substitue for mashed potatoes. I haven't tried it the way you do, I steamed a full head of cauliflower, used the hand held blender and mixed it with a tablespoon of butter, garlic, and salt and pepper to taste. Turned…
  • You just have to know how to tell them you just want to go in and work out. I personally like my 24 hour facility I go to. I never had any pressure to buy any training sessions or anything else. The only complaint I have is that a lot of the equipment seems to be own for repairs.
  • I just started using it as well. I don't have a clue how to add anyone so if someone tells me how to do it, I would add ppl as a friend.
  • I have posted this one many times for a few reasons, it is easy to remember, my kids love it, and the portions are HUGE. 4 chicken breasts 2 tbs. taco seasoning 1 can reduced fat cream of mushroom soup 1 cup salsa 1 cup non fat sour cream Add ingredients in order listed. cook on low for 8 hours. 7 hours into cooking,…
  • I cook 2 pounds of asparagus in 1 tbs. butter, granulated garlic, granulated onion for about 14 minutes, drain the butter off, sprinkle 2 tbs. of parmesean cheese, and eat. OMG!!! AMAZING!!!! I get a lot of my recipes off allrecipes.com
  • I am not really a huge believer in eating to ease joint pain. Although I do know that people with joint pain will use pools to work out in when they have joint pain. I had hurt my shoulder last year and was unable to use weights but was able to get in a full body work out in the pool with out my shoulder hurting. I am not…
  • I forgot the one can of cream of mushroom soup. I use the low fat one.
  • Okay here is one for Salsa Chicken: 4 Chicken Breasts 1 cup salsa 1 cup sour cream 1 tbs. taco seasoning Spray crock pot with non stick spray, place ingredients in crockpot in the following order: chicken, sprinkle taco seasoning on chicken, salsa, and sour cream. Cook on low for about 8 -10 hours. About 6-7 hours into…
  • The package gives you a serving size. Serving sizes are the same regardless if you are eating it as a main dish or a side dish. Just because you are having it as a main dish does not mean you get to eat more of it, unless you have enough room in your calories for the day.
  • If you have a scale that only measures in ounces, you can search for a measurement converter. Before I got my digital scale, which I totally recommend getting so you can measure in ounces and grams, I entered in to my search engine "converting ounces to grams". It helped to enter in the foods that I ate when there was no…
  • new clothes for the gym is always nice. I find that my bra's and pants are always the first to go no matter how well I take care of them.
  • If you have a nook, pepperplate.com is pretty easy to use on there. Otherwise, I just add recipes from allrecipes.com or manually from my laptop. The upside to using the nook is that you have your shopping list with you.
  • You will enjoy it. You will find that you do sleep differently and your moods will improve. If you are having a bad day at work and you go to the gym after work you will find that it is a HUGE stress reliever. When I was working my boss would allow me to leave 30 minutes early as I only took half my lunch, I was able to…
  • I don't really buy into the whole workout at this time to burn fat cells or what ever the latest and greatest study is either. I am a huge fan of working out when it fits in to YOUR schedule and no one elses. Right now I am able to head out the door at 10 a.m. to the gym. That is the time that works for my hubby and I AND…
  • Yeah I am not sure why girls care so much about their looks when going to work out either. I have seen many girls wearing full make up, cute little outfits, and hanging on the machine so they don't have to work as hard. Those ones come and go though, they never seem to stick around too long at all.
  • If you are running a marathon, you want to get a moderate amount of protein as that does keep you full longer but up the amount of carbs you are eating. If the run is on saturday, then on thursday and friday up the amount of carbs you are eating to keep up your energy levels for saturday. When I was swimming competively in…
  • I go at 10 a.m. most days. Sometimes 9 a.m. Saturdays there is a turbo kick class that I have taken once right before I got sick with whatever it is that is going around right now. It lasts forever.
  • I prefer the eliptical and the arc trainer. I have bone spurs in the heel of my left foot and those are less painful for me.
