Hmm, I am not sure whether I will reach my goal! Work has kept me occupied a lot this month, and with plenty of over-hours my steps are suffering! :-( At least those steps that I do, I do them during running/brisk walking.
-
I've been totally swamped at work, so I was not able to post regularly, but I'm still going as you can see :-)
-
Been busy at work this week, so my progress is not as expected, but I WILL MAKE THIS 250,000 STEPS!
-
I don't know why, but I'm having same breakfast for months and don't feel like changing it! Immediately after waking up I can't wait to start eating it - plain oatmeal with low-fat milk

Do I "lie" on my food diary? Yes. How? Well, mostly I put more calories than there are actually in the food (because I am not sure always about calorie content in some food). But I log everything that I take in. (With occasional skip for small portion of lettuce or cucumbers or beetroot  )

THIS! Every morning after waking up (and toilet  ) I do the same procedure: "Before I step on the scale I try to estimate what it is going to say. Take the reading, see the result, and think why weight went up or down." I do it because I feel that that way I am getting to now my body better. But I think that as time…

I really love gadgets and especially if they motivate me to reach my goals, therefore I found out I could purchase Fitbit One over Amazon and should be getting my Fitbit within few days. Yay! :-)

OK, been doing some research (again!) and looks like I could also go with Fitbit One :-) It actually has everything I need (only down-side was lack of smart alarm, but what I read from people it is not that "smart" in other trackers). I'll go and see how I could get one around here (Austria).

You can do it! :-)

Thank you for such a in-depth review, rungirlrun4. Now you made a think again about all that and I don't see why I wouldn't go for Fitbit One... hmm. Actually, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE
-
For me that would be running up stairs for about 3-4 minutes. Neighbors do look at me like I'm a weirdo but I don't care  (~250lbs)

Same here! Looking forward to FitbitFlex (http://www.fitbit.com/flex). I like the concept of wristband and was searching for one to keep me motivated and pushing forward. (JawboneUP, NikeFuel, FitbitFlex, ...) But one of the most important features for me is sleep tracking and silent alarm!

Thank you  Yes, I use Endomondo app to track all my activities.
-
I prefer RunKeeper but since you cannot connect RK and MFP (not yet) I switched to Endomondo and I am satisfied with it, had no problems with syncing or whatsoever. For me RK has a friendlier interface and better capabilities. I did download Runtastic but never actually tested it out... maybe I'll try that one this week.…

That's interesting for me. I am vegetarian for roughly 4 years and never had problems with protein intake. I eat a lot of dairy products (cottage cheese is perfect for your diet!) and seitan (google it  ). I was also vegan for 6 months and have to admit during those 6 months I felt better than ever before in my…

Thanks! :) I am 6'3'' so I think that goes in favor of pace/speed, but I've noticed that I feel really comfortable around 4.4 - 4.5 mph.

I was complete amateur when it came to counting steps so I didn't know how much I was doing every day. That's why I put myself a goal of 250,000 steps in March. But after these two days I've noticed that I did over 20,000 just from my cardio exercise. That's why I decided to count only exercise steps (those from workouts)…

I cannot believe how much motivation I'm getting from all of you and this challenge! Thanks, everyone! Yesterday was my first time to do 1 hour fast walk, and today this challenge pushed me to reach 10k (in 82 min! I'm proud of it!). Good job, everyone, let's keep it going! We can do it!

This is what I realized so far: 1. there are not many guys here (or at least they don't post  ) 2. I have no twinn :frown:
-
Not a lot of guys here.. hmm, oh, well, you never know: Age: 24 Height: 6'3'' SW: 262 CW: 256 GW: 210

what I found out is that Google Maps are really good way to measure your distance (that is of course if you remember where you have walked/ran). You do that either by visiting http://maps.google.com and using "Measurement Tool" (read how to use it on http://support.google.com/maps/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1628031 or by…

Hi, I'm 6'3'' and currently 253lbs.
-
I need this kind of challenge to keep me going! I'm just a beginner and don't know what exactly to estimate, but I'll try to do 250 000 steps in March. Yesterday was also a good starting day for me too, did 11 141 steps
-
MVP Pro Whey Protein (Cookie Dough flavor) is one that I find really good tasting :)
-
OK, then I think I also fit in the "tall group" - I'm 6'3''
-
what is tall? for a guy?
-
Hey, yesterday I discovered a cool app "Moves" that basically tracks me throughout the day and what was very interesting for me to see is that today I did 11 200 steps in 5.6 miles! That's exactly 5 miles for 10 000 steps. And I'm 6'3'' and did 4.5 miles of very, very brisk walking. Seeing this topic made me think what is…
-
And off we go! I have to admit, this is really motivating! This is my first challenge on MFP and instead of usual 3 miles, today I did 4.5 miles of brisk walking (in exactly 1 hour  happy to be reaching that 4.5 mph pace) So, if you haven't already started this challenge, don't wait anymore, go out and start…

Just recently started (again) actively using MFP, never posted anything on forum but this got me fired up! Thanks and looking forward to March :) (miles are not my unit of preference, but I'll go with the flow)
