I'm from Germany, from a little village close to Hannover :D Little more than a view from a hill (where castle ruins are, but those are mostly just a few stones) makes sense, so ... have that! And a picture of the local elementary school from 1895 I think, not quite sure. I went to school there! :D Last picture is of a…

While I wouldn't call myself fit exactly, I'm a lot more active than I was one year ago. I had planned out elaborate fitness / eating plans multiple times before and hardly ever stuck to them for longer than two weeks. Why did it stick this time? Well, one thing happened: my doctor told me that if I didn't do something, I…

Holy... That's... hm. It says I'm 22.5% smaller than my guess. But then, I've lost 40lbs so far, maybe my perception hasn't changed yet. On that "body scale" it's a difference of approx. 4.5 bodies. Man.

My experience is a little different from yours. My parents never meant their references to my weight to be mean. They always said them in the tone you'd use for an endearment. Something like the German word for chubby (which is mollig) and turn it into "Molly". I know they didn't mean to insult me or anything, but I also…

I'm nowhere near fit enough to use the app to actually run, I just use it on the elliptical. But I love it! It has really gotten me motivated to get MOVING, haha!

If we're talking plastic surgery, probably my stomach. If we're talking about what I would change if I could change anything at all, I'd probably want longer fingers, lol (since I have a mild form of Brachydactyly).

Up until recently, I used to weigh every day after using the bathroom. But I've noticed I've been becoming a little obsessed with what the scale says, so I'm weighing myself twice a week currently (wednesdays and sundays). I measure every two weeks, on a saturday. Concerning pictures, I'm currently in a dietbet for six…

I delete when someone hasn't logged in in a month. Everyone can feel free to add me again, but I like to actually kind of be aware of the people that can read my stuff and I theirs :D

I can't say that I've had a panic attack, but when you felt sick and dizzy, you probably overdid it. I'm quite anxious myself and when I have to stop during a workout, I usually sit down, close my eyes and breathe until I don't feel sick anymore. I don't know if that will help you, but maybe it will. Perhaps the sick/dizzy…

I think it was just a few weeks ago, shortly after Christmas, ironically (where I had gained about 5lbs back).

@kcasey155 Get a HRM. I use MapMyFitness, which gives me roughly the amount of calories that my HRM says I burned when I walk. It's waaay off when I use an elliptical. The only halfway accurate number you'll probably get with a HRM. At least in my experience.
-
I use a heart rate monitor, but my elliptical always shows MUCH lower numbers (HRM says I burned 300 calories, machine says 170). So in general, I wouldn't trust anything that doesn't go with your heart rate. But in your particular case, I'd probably opt for the lower number, just to be on the safe side.

I'm currently reading "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. it's been turned into a movie recently but won't be in the cinemas in Germany until March, so I thought I'd read it before I watch the movie. Also, several friends have been nagging me to read it because it's apparently very good. And it is! Also makes me a little…

Hey! :) I lost about 25lbs from September - mid November (yes, sadly I've gained since then :c ) and I got the ball rolling with (next to motivation) a dietbet. I know it's not for everyone, but I really didn't want to lose my $25 and that helped a lot! You can find out more if you google dietbet. 25lbs are roughly two…

I'm not going to break my streak / I'm logging. See, the thing is, in my family, we don't eat that much around the Christmas holidays. December 24th: Big dinner = no/small lunch. December 25th: Big breakfast = no lunch December 26th: Cakes, pies, etc at around 4pm = no lunch December 27th: Normal Day December 28th: My…

1. What was the first thing you changed to get healthy? I stopped drinking juices and snacking too much. I still snack (sometimes a lot... sigh) but on healthier things / less of the not so healthy things (i.d. chocolate...) 2. What was the hardest for you to change? Fooooood. Working out might not be my favorite part, but…

I'd love to join. All in all I've started with ~90 pounds to lose and I'm now down to about 70. My username on here is trippymace!

Personally, I've had this experience more with loose friends than with family. I've always been aware that I'm fat and have been continuously told so by peers and parents alike. But it is true that some people "dance around the truth" a lot.

46 days, 17 lbs :) Feel free to add me, everyone :)

I would only do things that don't hurt. If there are none, then .. maybe a walk or something. What I did when I had an inflamed nerve in my back was to take walks but quite fast ones? I definitely wasn't jogging because I couldn't but I burned around 300 calories in about an hour, which served me fine at the time. Maybe…

I'm 5'8'' But I have a lot more to lose than you :D Feel free to send me a request :)

I got started (back when I didn't count calories though) with salmon and pasta. Since then, I still love salmon as well as halibut. Frankly, I now relish in almost any fish, but I can't stand pangasius :/ I think it tastes... hm, musky? Although it's true that it doesn't taste fishy at all.

American?

I turned 21 in June :)

I can't say much concerning Italy "vs" USA, as I was to the states only once and that was to visit relatives in the middle of nowhere. But the thing with Italy... Italy is a Southern European country and in my experience, they offer that much food because you're only supposed to take a few bites of each. It's the same in…

I'm allergic to most fruits. The only ones I can stand are some apples (although only the ones that were grown on my parents' apple tree, weirdly enough) and bananas, so I'm going with those! :)

I think this is a thigh gap. Why this seems a goal to many, I'm not quite sure. I'd much rather have "that sexy triangle"!
