  • No, the pepperoni and bacon are not the problem, it's the crust. Seriously, some thin crust pizzas are not that high for an entire pizza, but a thick pan style crust will destroy calorie counts for the day. Now, in full cycling season, that isn't a problem, in winter though....
  • McDonalds, get a mcdouble without the bun, not too bad on Cal, and sometimes they even give you lettuce. Here, it's just over a buck, for another buck, large unsweet tea (nothing added) and you are only around 250 Cal, give or take. (Look in my food diary, it is my lunch most days. Sometimes 2 for dinner.) You save about…
  • Probably, hard to screw up a HR measurement. Now, Calorie count is a different matter.

  • Is that the weight watchers BF scale with the glass and .1 increments? If so: .... ..... ..... .... F$#$ that thing. It is always a few % higher than tape measure / Omron BF device.
  • Contradictions, contradictions. If you are doing 50 miles a day by bike, there is no way you are only doing 40 minutes each day, and you couldn't have been using the dumbbells. You won't lose thighs from cycling, especially not if you do 50 mile rides. Look at this link…
  • Do they work? Not that I can tell, but they don't hurt either. I got some cheaply though Vitamin Shoppe, and I don't know if I will refill it or not. I did have some slightly more expensive ones from Stacker that had caffeine in them, and I do NEED my caffeine, but there are cheaper sources for that.... Seriously though,…
  • It is sorta right. Of course, that is just based on the estimated calorie defict for the day * 35 day factoring in 3.5k Cal = 1#.... Of course, if you ate 6 grams of salt with your lunch (Sometimes my burritos get up there....) then you might be up 3# from that morning when you get up... And then if you screw that up and…
  • It depends on what you eat. I believe bananas are a higher calorie fruit, and I do count my grapes (3 Cal each) but beyond that, I don't know if it counts much. I don't count walking around the grocery store either, though I could. It balances out. I hope.
  • Lactose intolerant, really, eggs aren't too bad, but protein powder is convenient.
  • Mad dog 357, just a drop will do you... Crazy Uncle Jesters if you can find it
  • Actually, for me, it is right on per my HRM. Here is the caveat though, do you REALLY know how fast you are going? Really? There is more to it as well, such as gearing (my fixie takes a lot more power than my multispeed, not a big difference in a short ride, but a long ride can be brutal) as well as hills, wind, your…
  • I use a HRM, and the ONLY thing I ever see MFP get close on is the bicycling. Treadmill comes up short for me, and the elliptical comes up high.
  • use a HRM, and name it something like 'extracirricular - HRM' (I mean, you could call it screwing if you wanted, but if your food diary is visible, so is your exercise.)
  • I don't know about goths boys in skirts, but yeah, I have seen black polish on the emo/goths before. I don't think they get away with other colors though, and there may be other reasons for it too. (And since you have to be carded now to get nail polish remover, he may have decided to let it just wear off)
  • Also, you got the data from http://www.cheesecakefactorynutrition.com/restaurant-nutrition-chart.php? which IS NOT affiliated with cheesecake factory, so..... yeah.... Cheesecake Factory states that they won't give you the information in their FAQ/About Us section.
  • well, for one thing, Carbs are right *kitten*. Net Carbs x 4 doesn't always equal Carbs x 4. Sometimes, Fiber (which counts as carbs) get subtracted, meaning that it might say 5 grams of Carbs, but it might be 15 grams of Carbs that they expect you'll mostly crap out later (oversimplifying, but hey...)
  • They MIGHT help, they might not. There ARE things that help, but there is always a cost. Spicy foods are believed to help... if you can take the punishment...
  • Trail Mix is perfect for what it is. It is.... TRAIL MIX. It is not "sit on your couch mix" It is designed for when you are out on the trails hiking, and need that dense Calorie food.

  • Odd, check with your lawyer, if they are dealing in stolen items....
  • Beer? Nah... Now, Whiskey or Vodka, sure. I have a little plastic shot glass from the liqueur store that has a line on it that is exactly 1 ounce. (I measured with water and a postal scale, so I am sure) At the end of my day, if things are good and my Cal is in a good place, a shot of Bushmills is 66 Cal, Skyy Vodka is…
  • Because they are predicting a few inches of snow in various parts of the state this week? Really, I know a few people that ride in snow, but I am not one of them. Come spring though, and I will be pulling in some distance, but not in the cold. Just not my thing.
  • I had never heard the whole 'weather will change in 10 minutes' think until I moved from Ohio to Michigan. Then when we moved back, people acted like it had been their thing for decades.
  • That's a damned lie. Sure, you open them fine the first time, but it's a double edged sword, you'll put the lid back on tighter than you used to, and once again, the blasted thing won't open.
  • MFP is often really low for me. I use a HRM now, attached to my Nike watch, for Cal information. I went from an estimate of 150 Cal on weight training to around 500. From what I see (outside of HRMs) Nike+ uses distance time and weight, Allsport uses Distance and weight, MFP uses time and weight, and Strava seems to…
  • Some are really bad, others are better. I have one I don't like much that is a large tub in my cabinet. The GNC AMP Chocolate (86% of the Cal come from Protein) was among the worst I ever tried. Really did almost puke on that one. Was I ever glad to see the bottom of that bag. (And happy I didn't buy a jug) Kroger has a…

  • Some of my days have them listed in the notes section, not good about getting them plugged in there though. I am currently beefing up my routine though.
