Definitely find substitution or options that fit within your daily intake. Depending on your allowance, you could try "saving" up calories to have a "splurge" day, as long as your daily intake didn't drop below what is safe (1200 per day min. for women, higher for men.).

With custard? ;) Grilled cheese with white American cheese and white bread, buttered and in a skillet!

How long did you do low carb? Sometimes if you've been "dieting" for a long time your body gets used to sustaining at the low intake and then refuses to lose weight (Happened to me.) Some people call it starvation mode...others throw rocks at people for calling it that, but if your body has gotten used to being underfed…

Some days it is just tooooo easy to prove a point to myself. Good job everybody. Look at all the rude things people replied. And I wasn't even asking for help. Most of you assumed that i have been given advice but refused to listen to it without even knowingme. Some of yyou even made rude comments because I used the CAPS…

Unless there is a medical reason to reduce sugar...fruit sugar is much healthier for you that processed sugar. No one ever got fat eating too much fruit. Just sayin. YES sugar has calories. But your body processes fruit sugar differently than "fructose" especially because fruit has fiber with slows down how quickly your…

It works better than WW for me. I like getting 1320 calories vs 30 pts. 1320 is a bigger number and my brain adapted quickly.

Well done! Great job! :D

THIS!!! If you've been eating too few calories for a while your body will need to reset. You may gain a little weight, but it is worth it to get your body used to eating correctly. I had to do a 9 week reset. I gained 5 lbs, but I've lost those again and now I'm on track to lose 1 lb a week.

Having stuff you like to eat but in moderation will help you not go over so much. But, as for what to change in your diet, maybe try experimenting more this week. If you don't really like raw veggies try steamed veggies. If you don't like veggies at all, then maybe pick one to try out and if you can tolerate it, add it to…

When I was out of work a few years ago my husband and I had to be creative with our food budget. I actually stopped buying a lot of processed foods because it is less expensive to make some things on your own. Example - frozen biscuits or even the canned biscuits are $1.50 - $3.50 per package, but I can make HOMEMADE…

I can't used sucralose, aspartame, or any of the artificial sweeteners because they give me very bad leg cramps. Diet Dr. Pepper makes me angry...idk why. lol. But, anything with Truvia seems to be fine. Blue Sky Zero calorie sodas are amazing!

Are you drinking enough water? It took me forever to differentiate between hunger and thirst. (Dumb, I know.) Sometimes now if I am still hungry after I've eaten then I will drink some water to see if it goes away. And, as others may have stated, your body needs certain nutrients. sometimes if it doesn't get what it needs…

[/quote] It's natural for us to trust Drs because we assume they know everything about health. Truth is, most of them take maybe a one semester course on nutrition during their entire education. Nutrition is a broad topic and weight loss is just a small part of that. Without your height/weight, I can't say how many…

For anyone who is interested still...I was down to 163.2 this morning, which is 5 lbs lost in 5 weeks. I'm guessing that my .1 loss on Saturday was partially because of my sodium intake the day before. (Chinese food TWICE in one day.) Thank you for your help. Looks like what I'm doing isn't that bad after all, since I'm…

ALso...I realized that people on MFP can't see what I see on the app. I actually had a NET of 1267 calories yesterday. And made better choices. (YES I ate processed foods. Because I live in the real world with a full time job, husband, business, etc.) I will report back after next weigh in. :)

Thank you all for the help!

Thank you. :)

THIS is the reason I eat mine back. Because if I didn't some days I would net under 1200...which isn't good at all. I just can't figure out if I should only eat enough back to net 1200...and see what happens this week. I just don't want to slip back into starvation mode again. It isn't fun.

My caloric allowance is 1350...so if I burn OVER 150 calories I am under the recommended calorie in take for a woman...so I HAVE to eat some back. Because I've already spent too many years eating under what I need. Not going back there.
