  • Yeah I thought the same thing when I read that. I wouldn't drink anything alcoholic without eating unless you want to be in the bag after one drink.

  • You both look so great! Congratulations on all of your hard work. It's obviously paying off :)
  • I bought popcicle molds and pour yogurt into them and freeze. They taste amazing! My favorite to use is Stoneyfield's Banilla flavor, but I bet it would be great in any flavor. I've tried it with greek yogurts but didn't have as good of a flavor. Super cheap, easy, and healthy :)
  • Are you in the US? Every state has mental health programs that do not require payment or insurance. You just need to do the research and find out what the groups are you need to contact in your area. Your diet is supposed to fuel you, not drain you. Sad fact is that some people just have to work harder to look a certain…
  • I think any "diet" that focuses on only one type of food is a gimmick. It might work for a small weightloss... but I'm sure once you stopped eating the soups you'd gain it back. And canned soup has tons of sodium, so be mindful of that.
  • I don't think it sounds like a healthy diet.... weight loss or no. To be healthy you need variety. And I think for it to be effective you'd have eat that Special K 2 times a day forever. Usually with those kinds of diets once you go back to normal eating you gain it all back (sometimes more.)
  • You can actually die from too much water.... but that being said, you'd have to drink A LOT for that to happen. I drink at least 100 oz a day, but I don't drink anything else (except my morning coffee.) If you drink 8-10 glasses a day you should be good.
  • Awesome post! You look amazing :)
  • how many calories are you eating? are you logging all of your food? and what are you doing for exercise? You may not be eating enough calories.
  • I love food too. There's no need to change the fact that you enjoy your food, it's just about self control and portion size and keeping within your daily numbers. I actually enjoy my food even more so now that I'm eating healthier and logging it all.
  • It's more than I'm doing and I'm seeing results. I'm pretty new to this stuff too. Sounds like you have a good routine going. When you get closer to your goal weight you may want to increase the weight training based on what I've been reading. I wish I could afford a gym membership. I am saving up to get my own elliptical…
  • um, yeah, get on the phone to your human resources dept. That is workplace harassment. Plain and simple. ..... and then get him a mirror.
  • I love veggies. Seriously. I hate "exercise".... but I do love being active (hiking, kayaking, etc.) I actually crave veggies now that I've kept a "clean eating" focus for about 2 months. I still eat "crap" every once in a while... but I always fit it into my daily numbers and make up for it by doing extra well for the…
  • Chocolate anything Cake in any form anything that resembles a pastry These things are often beyond my will power. It's like someone else takes over my body. I used to live downstairs from the couple who owned the local chocolate shop. Every Easter they'd give us a HUUUUUGE basket and the focal point was the giant solid…
  • I hear that any change in diet can shake you off the plateau, also could be that you burned so many calories via stress and just being busy that it gave your metabolism a jolt.
  • I also log stuff other than cleaning that might not be considered exercise.... gardening for example (turning soil with just a rake in 80 degrees really gets your heart pumping!)

  • Mine is closed too. I haven no intention of ever making it public. I have enough issues with food that I am working on, I don't need to add the paranoia of other people judging what I'm eating to the mix, lol. Weight loss is such a personal and sensitive thing. Everyone does it in their own way, in their own time, at their…
  • it really depends for me.... There is one day a week that I clean 3 houses. On those days you bet your life that I count it as exercise! Vacuuming for an hour burns about 300 calories. If it's just regular daily type stuff then definitely not, but if it's above the normal cleaning (think scrubbing the floors, moving heavy…

  • Sounds like making their clients upset and vulnerable is a business tactic for them. Make you think that you can never reach your goals without them so you have to sign up with a personal trainer. "Women NEED trainers." And what kind of sexist BS is that? I wouldn't go back to that gym anymore if I were you.
  • I do! It helps me to figure out what fits into my parameters. I don't do it all the time but it's good for planning ahead.
  • Oh The Mall is a really good idea! Thanks!
  • I tried exercising early this morning, but the humidity was still so high it was making it hard to breathe Same thing with last night. I don't do well at all in the heat :( Maybe I could just break it up into smaller spurts of exercise?
  • I didn't have a c section, still have the pooch. Its a pretty common thing. Think of how much your belly stretched, I'm surprised mine isn't hanging to my knees, lol.
  • Maybe try an electrolyte replacement drink? like gatorade or powerade?
  • Me too! I'm finding that my food cravings are changing too. Instead of craving chocolate lately I've been craving almonds or wheat crisps with peanut butter. So weird! I also have noticed that fried foods taste kinda gross now that I never eat them. And I taste when a food has been "processed." It's kind of proof that it's…
  • I don't even want to think about going without my coffee! I drink it black though...
  • 11 lbs in 5 weeks is great! You should be proud not frustrated! I've "only" lost 6 pounds in about 5 or 6 weeks... but I love every single one! I'm working hard and I bet you are too. Slowly losing weight is the best way to do it. The faster you lose weight, the more likely it is to be gained back.
  • That's how I do it. I tend to make better choices still because I eat 4 small meals a day and 2 snacks. But for example, today I wanted my favorite pizza, so I made sure to make better choices earlier in the day so I could eat 2 slices. I don't do this everyday, but it's nice to know that I can be flexible.
