I eat when I am tired. So I have learned that when I am feeling hungry and I shouldn't be (as in it has been less than two hours since I last ate) I try and take a little siesta. I also try and eat every three hours, so if I do end up actually being hungry, I am never far away from the next meal.

Sleep. Sigh.

Time for a full body mole check every year! I call it my annual slice and dice! 10 years ago they told me I would have melanoma by the time I was 40. They were wrong. Whatever it is, you caught it early and you can deal with it on Friday! Good thoughts coming your way!!! Oh, and keep off of Google!!!

Personally, I never go more than three hours without eating something. Even if it is small, it is better than getting hungry and chewing on the cabinet doors!!!

If you are hypoglycemic, regardless of your calories, the goal would be to eat small frequent meals to stabilize your blood sugar. Aim for protein at each meal. For what it's worth, I am the same and have done fabulously well on 1200 calories with heavy lifting or cardio 6 days a week. In fact, haven't had an issue since I…

Word of caution on shoe shopping....my shoe size has actually gone down too! I am sure it depends on how much you have lost/have left to lose. Personally, I have to get new running shoes because mine all but slip off when I do a TRX workout. I like the walking idea. And if all else fails, clean something!

Definitely try this!!!! I have had more than one doc tell me this was okay. When you are in significant pain, your body can't heal properly until it can have some relief. Best wishes and feel better!!!!

Clearly, it is safe to assume that some people are completely devoid of both couth and common sense.

That's pretty much where I started six months ago! I am down 48 pounds, and have 14 to go to fit back into my wedding dress for our upcoming vow renewal. Wish me luck!!!!

I have lost nearly 50 pounds while giving myself one free meal a week that always includes a few glasses of wine! My problem isn't the calories from the wine, it's the calories from all the food I nibble after the wine. So I make it my free meal and plan for it every week. When is was in my 20s I definitely drank a lot…

:) I am 5'3", 140 and have NO hips, and two c-section scars to prove it. I am wearing 2s or 4s. But I will never wear smaller than medium shirt, as I have shoulders as broad as my 6' swimmer husband. All shapes and sizes!!!!

I use three bananas for banana chip muffins. Just use a banana bread recipe, throw in some semi-sweet mini chips and adjust the cooking time. :)

My one rep max is 115. My goal is to be able to do my body weight. I need to add 10 pounds to the bar and drop 10 on the scale first.

Different manufacturers have different stride lengths, and some actually have adjustable stride lengths. We got a Precor center drive that we absolutely love because the stride was the only one that I tried that fit my short legs. :-) The model above the one we bought had adjustable stride lengths, but both my husband and…

I was born there, but don't remember much other than snow. I would like to make it back there to visit one day though.

I have been working with a trainer for about 6 months and <3 him! I was always a gym rat pre-kids, but since then I have totally lost my mojo. He has been great at keeping me motivated and I have NEVER done the same workout twice. The variety has been fantastic. If one-on-one isn't feasible, look for a small group setting.…

Really depends on how you are built and where you carry your weight, but I am just over 5'2", currently around 140 and wearing a 4 on the bottom and a M on top. My goal is 125-130 and that will put me at a 2 on the bottom, but I have no hips. I don't anticipate dropping sizes on top because I have super broad shoulders.…

Absolutely possible with dietary changes alone, but I have been lifting the whole time. I was afraid of what I would look like underneath all the extra padding that I was discarding.

You are rocking that tutu! Keep it up!

I don't do a whole day, I do a meal once a week. And I eat pretty much whatever I have missed that week. And wine.....there is ALWAYS wine!

My knee doc suggested elliptical and recumbent bike for my tendonitis and meniscus tear.

I <3 peeling sunburned skin. I do, however, religiously wear sunscreen so I rarely get the opportunity.

My general rule for meats is three days. But, if it smells okay, then try it. Worst case, you spit it out and have a granola bar!

The memories of the hours you will spend in the gym will quickly fade away, but I venture to say that 10 minutes will stay with you forever. Beautiful!

I am an Asics gel junkie.

I turned 40 this past July and currently weigh 48 pounds less than when I did. Almost back to college skinny after 20 years and two kids. No shots....just heavy lifting and eating like an adult! ;-)

I can completely respect your desire to fast for religious reasons, but I also respect the complexity and severity of diabetes and high blood pressure. As a former diabetic (during pregnancies) I would suggest that you discuss this further with your doctor. A five day fast seems pretty harmless until you consider how long…

Rest!!!! I had the flu over thanksgiving and I couldn't lift my head off the pillow, let alone lift weights. I dropped 10 pounds in a week, a few pounds of which was muscle. Within two weeks both my weight and muscle mass was back to where it should have been. It took me nearly a month to make it through a full workout, so…

Fantabulous! :)
