I pulled my back about about a week and a half ago I was supposed to be careful but since I needed to take more because of the injury they said I cant do anything for another week0

I moved my bed it rolls I just pushed it accross the room0

Makes so much since since you cant get comfort for your back you are turning to the next comforting item, food. I hope you get some of your pain meds soon. Speedy recovery.0

I know it's definitely not the same but have you tried alternating ibuprofen and acetaminophen? You could take 800mg of ibuprofen and then a few hours later take some acetaminophen. When you alternate them you're always peaking on one. I did that when I stopped taking Rx meds after surgery a few months ago. It's better than nothing. I'm sorry you're going through that.
If you try the above, make sure you write down when you take them so you don't take too much of each one or take them too soon.0 -

omg!. that kind of pain can be horrible. message the dr. tell him how bad the pain is. i don't care what "they" said. double check with him, go over everything.. sometimes lines can get crossed.
i went through stuff like that so i remember. it's terrible. feel better and eat what you want until you get those meds but keep working on a real solution but do ease the pain temporarily with whatever you need, ice packs, pillows under legs, between legs if on your side. teas that help relax the muscles.0 -

Definitely try this!!!! I have had more than one doc tell me this was okay. When you are in significant pain, your body can't heal properly until it can have some relief. Best wishes and feel better!!!!0 -

Ugh! That's terrible. I would definitely call tomorrow. The receptionist will probably take a message and have a nurse call you back. Definitely make it a point to have your Dr notified of what's going on. Tell them you'll wait for a phone call back while they talk to your Dr. Don't let them put you off. I hope you can get this taken care of.
And like someone else said, I can't blame you for wanting to comfort yourself with food. Poor thing.0 -

I feel for you!
I was told to stop taking anti-inflamatories a few weeks befroe knee replacement surgery for all the pre-op testing, but then the surgery got delayed and I was told not to go back on the NSAIDs. I put up with it for a little while, but then called them back and said I either need to get back on the NSAIDs, or they need to Rx something stronger, or I'm going to start drinking - their choice. They said it was OK to go back on the NSAIDs.
Talk to your Dr - There are lots of alternatives out there and your body will heal faster if you're not all tensed up from the pain.
Hope you feel better soon!0 -
