Friend me if you'd like. I will do my best to motivate you. I'm back at this after successes and failures. Now at 60, my back is giving out on me for the third time. I have no choice this time but to stick with this. I return messages in a timely manner. I was mortified when my surgeon gave me a copy of her notes for my…

It really depends on how much you really want to become a parent. If you stay focused every day and don't let the day in and day out stresses control what you do, your changes of reaching your goal within this year are very good. Most importantly would be how you go about it and weather you keep it up once you conceive.…

When I was younger and has a young family, I lost 32lbs in 5 months and that was all I had to lose so I believe you can do it. 50 by your wedding sounds realistic to me. I think figuring out your calories intake is your first step. Then I would not try to incorporate a bunch of diet foods in. I would start with healthy…

My three primary goals are: Log every single day. Don't miss any logging. I need the reality. Drink plenty of water. It feels great to feel hydrated. Eat before I hit the super hungry stage. It helps me stay on track.

I"m wondering if you are eating enough each day. If you are only eating 1200 calories and working out where you are burning a lot of calories, then you will not lose weight. You must eat your full amount of calories without exercise and then if you exercise you should add healthy protiens to your meal. Let me know if that…

I think you are doing great. Keep up the good work. Your reasons for losing are the best reasons. Health should be number one. Hang in there. You have encouraged me. Denise

I've been up and down too. Lost track of the numbers. never gained it all back but got close a couple of times. My motivation is a Hawaii trip. We are going in the Spring. I think I can lose some. I cannot lose all I want to though. This I know. I work the overnight shift and exercise is really hard to get. Trying myself…

It's hard when you have young kids at home. Just hang in there. Take the time you need for yourself. Don't be afraid to be assertive with thier father and let him know you need this time. Perhaps you can perpare your foods ahead of time so when you are super busy or stressed you will have things ready for you. I've been…

With you here. Kick those stressors in the butt. Oh wait, let them kick you and get the pounds off. I started a new exercise plan today. Let's do this.

I'm nnot sure what a Nike+Kinect is but I'm wishing you good luck with it. I just started day one on the Elliptical. Lord save me. 40 lbs is a good goal. I'm sure you can do this. The first few months are a challenge but one worth going for. The results will prove that. You will feel so much better. I back slided some but…

I'm packing up my summer clothes to give away instead of putting them away. Next year I will be 2 to 3 sizes smaller. Already dropped sizes this year too. Woo Hoo.

Welcome and enjoy!!! It sounds like you got off to a great start. I love the part where it tells me what I will weigh in 5 weeks. That is a big motivater for me. You can do this. BTW, I'm from CA originally and I miss it terribly.

I have idea. Can you go to a local hospital to the maternity ward and look at the new babies? Will that help motivate you. I remember when I wanted a child. I ended up at the store buying new towels for my bathroom. We never know what might motivate us. I bet it might help. Then have a frank talk with your mother. Tell her…

It is very hard to lose weight when working the overnight. I take my foods with me to work. When things are quiet I walk in circles or across the room and back. I try to do this for 10 minutes every hour. Most days I go for a walk after work but yes, my sleep has suffered for it.

I started at 128 and lost 11 lbs before coming to MFP. I'm down to 199.0 as of last Tuesday. That is a grand total of 29 lbs. My goal is 145. Originally it was going to be higher but I feel like I can get there. I'm 5'5'.

my dietician suggested doing lunges for the inside of the thigh. I do them in the pool.

Midway through the week I will check in on the scale but my official weigh in is when I wake up on Monday mornings.

I couldn't even swim in the beginning. My balance was way off. I started by getting in the shallow end of the pool and walking from one side to another, Then I did backward walking, then sideways. This helped increase my balance by leaps and bounds. (no pun intended). You can do this. You just took step 1.

Good luck. It is fairly simple. I started back in Feb. before joining MFP and lost 11 lbs initially. Since late March I have lost another 14. I will weigh in tomorrow so it could be more. I feel like I get a good fill of my fruits, veggies, meats, grains and dairy. I also work the overnight shift and manage to get in a…

Yes, walking is my major source of exercise. MFP loss 14, my total loss 25.

I hope I'm not repeating what someone else has said, but maybe you can do some research and find a woman's shelter. Many of the shelter's will give you free counseling and housing while the case managers help you set goals and accomplish them. If mom is divorced and it her 40's she could be a little off her rocker right…

Try fat free pudding, pistachios, v8 juice, strawberry and greek yogurt shakes. These are a few of my snackies that help me get through those sugar cravings.

I walk right after work and some days I do weights. It all depends on my energy. Why after work? Because I'm a procrastinator and would never walk if I had to do it before work. I work 10:45p-8:45am. I hope you find something that will work for you;. Good luck.
