Same here. I set mine to .5 pounds sedentary and got 1200 cals. I have a desk jobs so I really do sit at a computer screen for 9 hours a day. I'm not gay but in the military. They recently repealed don't ask don't tell which was of particular concern because we sometimes share close quarters together. I initially was doing 1200 because that is what MFP put me at, but I was tired all the time, so I upped it to 1475 (my BMR) plus I eat back my exercise calories. I feel much better and have lost 8 pounds since I've been on here (about 2-3 weeks)

I always thought that about treadmill calroes. I run on the treadmill and do the elliptical for the same amount of time and it says I burn the same amount of calores. I just don't believe this because I am exhausted after running on the treadmill, but barely break a sweat on the elliptical.

I do eat fast food, I just am careful about my choices. I don't go to fast food restaurants on the spur of the moment. i give myself enough time to look up that restaurants nutritional information so that I can make a wise choice. I usually only go when I don't feel like cooking.

I think in moderation, and if you make good choices while there, you can eat at mcdonalds occasionally. We only have a subway where I work, and fortunately it is a healthy option, but only if you make good choices. They have some pretty heavy sandwhiches there. But somedays I just don't feel like preparing my lunch ahead…
