Yum! I should not have posted this between meals...all of this talk about food is making me hungry!

They all sound yummy. Great ideas!

Sounds good! Thanks

This looks tasty!

Good ideas! I should have clarified...the lunches are for me.

1200 works for me, but it took a while to figure out which foods are filling and which ones leave me starving an hour later.

I hear ya! My scales have not budged for over a week. But, I know something is happening. My clothes are fitting and I feel better. I've just decided to forget the scales and look in the mirror. :)

You might want to have your B12 checked. Mine was very low last spring, so the doc put me on B12 tablets once a day. I have felt like a new woman, lol!! I teach elementary and I'm up at the crack of dawn, too. Make for a loooooong day. :)

I'm ready to leave work and go food shopping right now, lol!! I passed a nearby store on Sunday that is advertising Pumpkin ice cream. Gotta try it!
-
Gonna have to try this!!
-
That sounds delicious! I love pumpkin anything...can't wait for the Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer to arrive in stores. Too bad these flavors are seasonal.
-
Congrats!! You look awesome. Great story...great job!

These all sound yummy...can't wait to try them out. I'm not a good cook. Maybe the crock pot will be more forgiving.

Planning out my meals/snacks and having the app on my phone have helped me stay on track. Good luck!

Great post...I've been wondering the same thing.

Love Emerald Almonds...thanks for the tip!

One tsp. of coconut palm sugar and one Tbsp. of flavored creamer to two cups of coffee...can't do the black either!

My middle son (10) is a picky eater. I fix one meal. If he does not like it, he is welcome to fix something on his own...that I approve, of course. My other two kids will eat anything. I was terribly picky as a kid and I recall sitting at the table for hours, gagging.

Your thyroid regulates many body functions. I used to be super skinny (hated it!) until my thyroid crashed when I was 28. I've been on synthroid for 18 years now and still have to watch what I eat. Gaining weight is not an issue now, lol! Just ask your doctor to do bloodwork to check your levels. If they are off, they will…
-
Have you had your thyroid checked? If you are doing all the right things and still not getting results, it's worth looking into.

Agreed! I do need to add weight training to my exercise routine. Years ago I did the Body for Life program and saw great results. I can't seem to get back in the groove though. (And, the additional years, plus another baby, does not help.) And, a shoulder injury limits upper body weight training.

Are you hungry? Are you losing weight? Do you feel good? No, yes, yes :) Ok, I'll stop trying to figure it out. I guess what bothers me is eating these calories (usually almonds) late in the evening. That will have to change. :)
-
True! I like that fact that I'm not always thinking about food for a change. I guess I have my mind on other things. Unsalted almonds are usually my "go to" snack.

Coconut Palm Sugar...yummy caramelized flavor. Use the same amount as you would sugar (or, less). I've been using it since Dr. Oz recommened it on his show. Here's more info, I never use anything else... http://www.livestrong.com/article/280219-healing-benefits-of-coconut-palm-sugar/

I agree, it can be a little obsessive, but when you make up your mind to change your life, you need to learn how to do it and track your progress. My husband has been using it and I didn't feel it was necessary. Now that I'm on board, I've had a change of heart. Using MFP helps me with portion control and planning. Once it…

Another Mom here! I'm 46 with three kids. I teach full-time and I run a busy on-line business selling my artwork. I have a terrible time finding time to workout even with gym equipment in the house. But, other than finding time, I have no excuse, lol! I just have to make myself do it. Once I get on the treadmill and find…
