Chicken kebab with salad were great choices and wouldn't be that many calories 4 oz of chicken breast is about 120 calories . Salad wouldnt be many calories depends on the dressing you used but even full fat would maybe be about 100 or so . I'd say about 100 for the pita and three chips ( sheesh how did you stop at three…

Don't beat yourself up it happens to all of us at one time or another . It was a family celebration and you enjoyed yourself so just let it go and do better tomorrow . Try to make healthy choices this week and get in some exercise , drink plenty of water to flush out the extra salt .

I am in the same situation but losing weight has gotten my sugars down quite a bit so no meds for me for now . The dietician I saw a few yrs ago told me to go for a walk after every meal if possible . Only a 20 minute walk and at a normal pace not over exerting because you are still digesting your meal . This really made a…

We're not our brothers keeper . I don't feel it's my place to criticize what other people are eating or their exercise habits they are adults and if they want that donut who am I to tell them that it's bad for them . We all know what we should be eating and making someone feel bad for logging a donut or chocolate bar might…

I would cook the stew meat in a slow cooker or in oven at low temp till tender . Maybe add an onion and some spices a bit of beef broth or other liquid . You could do this a day ahead . Then when you want to make your stir fry you just fry up whatever veggies you want then add your cooked meat I'm sure it would be great .…

Most likely it was the rapid weight loss that brought on an attack, for some reason that increases Uric acid in the joints . Better to lose slowlly I'd think 1-2 pounds a week would be good . The cherry juice and extracts will help but not fast enough when you are in pain .hope you feel better soon .

The dietician told me to lose weight as little as 10% makes a huge difference . Get in some exercise she recommended taking a walk after every meal if possible not a long strenuous walk either just 20 minutes , this helps keep your blood sugar levels down . She said to get in a variety of foods , good carbs , lean meats…

Too much meat will do that as well as losing weight too quickly . It would be very difficult to exercise when you are having a gout attack the pain is consuming . Look up high purine foods and try to limit those with the highest purines you are on the right track drinking lots of water . Drink sour cherry juice if you can…

I'm 5'4 and started at 179 about 5 yrs ago on ichange logging everything I ate everyday . I started using MFP when quite a few of the ladies from ichange switched over . I am currently using both programs . I weigh 148 now but was down to 145 in the summer . Would like to get down to 142 , I know that's probably more than…

Thank you for this post. I am in this for the long run and am not looking for a quick weight loss , have done that in the past and regained all the weight plus some . I believe in eating healthy food to fuel my body not starve it to see that number on the scale drop faster . It has taken me 4 years to lose a little over 30…

You're correct way too much processed and convenience food being eaten on a regular basis . Once in awhile won't kill you but day in day out it has to take a toll .

I would make mini pizzas with them . Slice the eggplant across to make rounds about 1/2 inch thick or a little less . Sprinkle with salt and lay on a paper towel for 15 min or so then pat dry . Brush with some olive oil and bake on a greased cookie sheet for about 20 -25 min @ 350 . Now top with your favorite pizza sauce ,…

I don't have a dessert recipe but you could make a shake with the greek yoghurt , fruit and protein powder ( if its vanilla ) . Or if it's chocolate how about the yoghurt , chocolate protein powder and a tablespoon or so of peanut butter .Guess you'd have to mix it all with some kind of milk or water and ice cubes .…

I love tea in the afternoon , I usually have coffee in the morning then switch to tea either black tea or green , sometimes mint tea. No sugar or milk just plain tea . Not sure if it helps with weight loss I just enjoy it .

Glad you came back to give it another try . I started this weight loss journey 4 years ago on ichange and lost fairly steadily but slowly . I tried myfitnesspal about a year ago but went back to ichange because I found it easier to use . Now ichange is used mostly by people that are on herbalife products and they only seem…

I was thinking of getting one but was worried that it would fall by the wayside after awhile like my exercise bike and treadmill . But then maybe it would encourage me to use them . Frannys hubby got one for Christmas last yr and it really inspired him , he has lost about 50 pounds and walks miles and miles each day .
