If you're out of breath, your baby can't get enough oxygen. If you want to hurt your baby, keep exercising so hard that you get out of breath. If you don't want to hurt your baby, scale back what you are doing so you don't get out of breath. This is pretty simple...

No, it is not. The rough rule of thumb to go by is not to eat under 1200 for women and 1500 for men.

I'm a bit more than half way through my 40 lb weight loss at 138 (as a small framed 5'4" the extra weight is very noticable, especially on my face) and in the last week or so I've had a few double takes in the mirror: "oh, THAT'S what I used to look like before the weight gain, now I remember!" It's really very odd, it's…

C25K on alternating days, walking on the treadmill on the other days, and swimming on Thursday.

Well done, you look brilliant!

I am trying to increase the amount of fresh stuff I eat now that I've got into the rhythm of eating fewer calories, but to start off with I did just concentrate on the calories and not really think about nutrition that much. You might need to take it one step at a time if you're struggling.

Thanks Kitty! I surpassed my prediction of 138 by Monday - the scales this morning said 137.8! I was a bit worried that I'd be hungry again yesterday's OMAD was at about 2.30pm (we went to a Mexican restaurant with the chap's mum), but the nachos, beef quesadillas, coleslaw and beer filled me up nicely for the day. I got a…

I'm 5'4". Started at 160 (or possibly a bit more, this is before I got a digital scale and my old scale wasn't that accurate) in mid-late March last year. Currently 138, which is 22 lbs down after 10 months of calorie counting. Goal is 120, but I could potentially safely go a bit lower if I want to when I get there. I'd…

Not from a MFP friend but I saw it on the forums and on a blog (can't remember whose it was), and it really helps me when I feel impatient. The gist is this: time will pass no matter what you do. In six months you can either be just as unfit as you are now (or worse), or you can have made progress towards better health.

My exhaustion was caused by Vitamin D deficiency but it could be any number of things. Get tests done at the doctor's! I hope you manage to find out what's wrong and remedy it.

Week 7 Day 1 tomorrow!

Back to 138! Great meals in the last few days: Friday was a kebab, stuffed crust pizza and cheesy chips all shared with my OH, Saturday two Burger King double cheeseburgers (one without the bun) and super large fries, and today was nachos with beef quesadillas. C25K going well! Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Well done Kitty, your makeup haul sounds exciting!

@chastity0921 I was about to mention the sugar free gummy bears haha!

My job is writing tasting notes, it's a hard life ;)

When I hear 'light beer' I assume that it's referring to a diet macro beer aka water, rather than a session beer like Siren QIPA (2.8% ABV and thoroughly tasty). On the beer pairing note, I bet Ska Vernal Minthe Stout (brewed with peppermint, spearmint, cocoa nibs and vanilla) would go wonderfully with these Thin Mints…

My partner and I are losing weight together, which is nice. It's come up in various conversations with our families, and I also post the odd update on Instagram. I quite like chatting about it if people bring it up.

As a Brit, can I just ask what's so amazing about Girl Scout cookies that makes people go mental for them?! What sets them apart from a packet of cookies that you can buy from the shop?

I've been sitting on a hard chair all day and my bum really hurts, I can feel bones against the seat! I often sit with a foot/leg crossed under me and the combination of hard chair, ankle bone and bum bone (?!?!) all crashing together has been seriously uncomfy.

He probably just wanted to say hi or something.

Great job, well done!

I'm glad you're feeling so good! My broad advice would be that you should face any setbacks with a pragmatic attitude - 'so I went over today, this isn't going to make much of a difference in the long run, I'll continue sticking to my plan'. It's not the end of the world if you eat more than you intended to - you won't…

Of course you can! In fact I'd say that perhaps you're in an even better position to lose weight as you're already knowledgeable about cooking and are fully engaged with the fact that food is not the enemy. You'll be able to use your cookery skills and nose for what tastes good to tweak recipes to make them lower calorie…

Thanks all! I'm pretty much over it, got a bit of a sore throat still but it's not too bad. Yesterday went well, I got in my 10,000 steps, had some great burgers and stayed within my calories. Down 1.2 lbs this morning, that's the remainder of the weekend's water weight plus some of the half pound of actual fat I reckon I…

Ooh I love fish fingers! Looks like a tasty dinner :)

I chose 120 because I was around that before I started putting on unnecessary weight at university. It happens to be a 20.6 BMI so if I want to go lower I can safely lose another 10 lbs after than.

The last ten months has been an interesting time. I've lost 20 lbs slowly but surely (half way to 120 lbs goal), and this is what has been working for me: - weighing and logging food. There will be the odd takeaway which is difficult to quantify, but day in day out I weigh everything down to the ketchup on my plate and the…

Hehe, for science! Tesco Finest Triple Chocolate ;) 310 calories each, my word.

My chap hates Valentine's Day but I love any excuse to celebrate, so we'll probably compromise by getting a big takeaway - it's a nice treat, without being all 'romantic'.

Congratulations!!
