Go to the local grocery store and grab one of those pre-made salads/sandwiches/soup cups. Whole foods has a salad and soup bar which is amazing! and just as quick as going to a fast food place - well, no drive thru though.
-
The better I've stared eating, the less appealing fast food is to me. Just doesn't taste the same anymore. But I still will eat it on occasion and see nothing wrong with that.

I went and bought a really fun refillable water bottle and was using those crystal light packets for flavor. I would just refill it at work and try new flavors throughout the day. <3'd it! I'm now just drinking plain water though, but I had to start out with those crytal light packets to build the routine. Hope that hepls!

We all get into our slumps, ESPECIALLY after the holidays! Once you get started again it will be its own motivator :). For today, just work on setting some small goals - ie drink more water today (I like to use the crystal light flavor packs and I bring a big colorful (fun) water bottle to work so I can keep refilling it…

I would say you need your binge days since you're not eating enough calories. Just watch your suagr intake. Keep it around 30 grams (specfically the non-natural sugars.. like in your cereal). Also - consider at upping your calories - a lot of people have had success with feeding their bodies what they need.
-
Some nutritionists recommend "perfecting" a maintenance diet first. This way once you DO reach your weight loss goals, maintaining it will be second nature. Take all the time you need! Log your foods to see where you'll be once you hit your goals.

rotissary chicken and salsa! yum! somtimes I shred it up and put it corn tortillas :P. I usually eat 1 of the breasts of those rotissary chickens you get at the grocery store. I use natural chunky salsa - just for some veggies and flavor. <3 chicken!

Did I mention the special K protein water is only 30 calories?? 5 grams protein, 5 grams fiber (yay fiber!) and 0... ZERO sugar... :)
-
Throw an EAS carb controal edge advantage (not sure which is the correct name...) and throw it in your bag for a post work-out protein shake. ALSO - you can put one of those Special K protein water packets in your water and drink that throughout your workout. I love the strawberry kiwi!

I'm back at it as well! Good luck! We'll stick together this time, maybe that was the missing factor :o)
-
Yay!! Keep going! So happy for you!

I didn't have one before I saw this post - but I'll make one and do my best to stick with it becuase of you!! Thanks! Here is it: 1. Regular logging of my calories - MFP! 2. Lose 3 inches off my waist (from 34 to 31) by April 1st (4 months) 3. Lose 15 lbs by March 15th (2.5 months) 4. Run a 5K in under 30 min by March 15th…

I dont know for sure but it seems like it would be ok. I like hot water with lemon and hot water with cinnamon... lemon tea and cinnamon tea i guess? :P Especially if its caffeine free - doesn't seem like an issue. What kind of fruity tea are you drinking? I like tea!

Rule of thumb I've always heard is go for fresh first, then frozen, lastly canned. Canned has lots of preservatives (typically). Frozen is typically flash frozen and you wont find any other ingredients in them (chek the bag!). If you're lucky enough to have a fridge at work, I like to bring those steamable bags of veggies.…

Usually just Ground Chia Seed and Cinnamon. I sometimes add in some Steevia or honey =D If I have the time I make it on the stove top with milk mmmmm!

Some fruits are higher in suagr than others - still nothing compared to candy of course. Pineapple is one of those fruits - but it is a great source of Fiber and Vitamin C! Note: if you feel a cold coming on eat some pineapple to keep it away! They have more Vitamin C thank oranges! :D You're getting more for your buck as…

I LOG it! Knowledge is power. Trust me, once you start seeing how easy it all adds up you'll slowly start gravitating towards to food that look better on your tracker. MFP is awesome for self-identifying! :o)

If you're not already - trying incorporating Fish oils pills and GLA (like primrose oil). These both help the body burn fat - not dramatically, but I've seen a difference with daily use! Also try drinking lemon juice with hot water (like a tea) in the AM before meals and PM after meals, this will help boost your bile…

I add chia seeds to my oatmeal and my smoothies to thicken them. I do notice it keeps me fuller longer. Careful thoough they are packed with nutrients but also calories.

Ditto what everyone else said. If I go overboard then I TRACK IT and make it a point to eat better the rest of the day or take a walk or do a longer work out. Make up for it with 2 days a healthy eating.
-
I def do! But I also STILL log it. I dont intentionally take off days they just happen sometime (like yours). I find that when I DONT log it its tough for me to motivate myself to get back into things, esp if I've been seeing results. When I do log though the horror of my day stares me in the face and that motivates me to…

I'm glad you brought this up - it really is a good topic. The last thing you want while trying to live a long and healthy life is for it to be cut short while you're doing so!! Deterrance is always good, so even something like a whistle or pepper spray to keep the guy away works 95% of the time. Someone else said it but I…

Like many people have said - this is fine to do. Your body wont start "storing fat" until you've depriped it from its necessary caloried for more than 72 hours (ish) and also you have energy stores that really do last you all day. Your body adjusts to how you're eating so for people who eat regular meals (me) its going to…

lol - ya, i found out that pop tart thing recently too. Why package them together if its not considered 1 serving? dumb... they do that with a lot of other foods to so its important to read the lables!

This is a great find! I was just putting together my exercise workout for tomorrow and all i had was "abs" lol, Now i can be more specific! I love this!!

I also interested in this question. I'm not trying to bulk up though. I am trying to get smaller - but with lean gains... if that makes sense. I already do a decent amount of cardio. Just need a good weight routine / advice. I just to do body parts (arms one day, legs the next, chest / back, etc.) I am being told though…
